A Survey of Mantis Entity Encounter Experiences

I will for sure have to participate because it was this MANTIS introduction back into psychedelics (LSD) after probably a decade of not seeking mushrooms, LSD, or any tripping (because of an addiction to opioids), because I believe I was afraid I would have a horrible experience..also when you are addicted you don't really have the funds for anything else besides the drug of choice that holds you down and basically is keeping you sick.

This is why I am in the position of feeling that the praying mantis meaning me be leaning towards:
Health/Growth and courage/change

I barely had any nightly dreams, and I mean zero, while having addiction to opioids, so the night I layed in bed while on lsd and somehow I was unconscious, yet concious of this other realm or place with this Praying Mantis in my face, on my head yet in front of me.

The other reason I lean towards this opinion is because I was purposely at this point in my life - dosing psychedelics while going through withdrawals to face my demons..I guess, and has worked tremendously.

Just filled the survery. It's only my second dmt experience (pharmahuasca), and I had an encounter with it, I don't remember much before the encounter, but this was somewhere at the beginning of the trip, right after it got intense, I remember seeing the mantis first, then it went away, and the trip went for a bit before it appeared again, and it approached me in what seemed like a very long room, it just seemed open ended in the direction I was facing, the environment began as dark and as the mantis approached it was bright greenish, it approached me from the front left side, as I was laying down, like if a doctor is only examining the left side of your body/face, so he would stand on your left of the table/bed, but it wasn't standing it was hovering over that side examining me from above, it had a big body and head, and lots of antennae coming out its face that were examining me. It seemed stoic and I felt its authority. I don't remember much of the mantis after that. But throughout this whole thing I did feel a presence on my far right of something else observing this interaction, I don't remember what it exactly.
And this was just yesterday, the whole experience wasn't very pleasant and I wanted it to stop multiple times, except for the brief part with jesters that appeared in walls of colorful tiles swirling, grinning at me aggressively and making me laugh as some inside joke I don't remember, I didn't want to leave that place. Anyways It was definitely a big dose that I wasn't ready for, roughly 150mg of freebase and 4g of boiled rue. The last trip was very enjoyable so I decided to up it, and boy did I over do it.
But on the mantis, there was a chirping sound coming through the window, from grasshoppers/crickets through the whole night, and it was only amplified in the trip, I'm not sure of that's what induced the mantis or not, the only other prominent entities I remember after that were the loads and loads of reptiles everywhere, but they just kept moving around me in circles clockwise, they didn't approach me like the mantis did.

Hi Bancopuma.
I'm a little confused about what categorisation you're referring to here? The one from the survey? In which case, isn't it yours?
Also, are you not interested in how common susch encounters are, i.e. how many people use DMT regularly but never encounter any.

Hi WallyG, I was replying to feeeeelio's previous comment "Is this part of the prison planet nutball fiesta?". I was just pointing out that to dismiss and categorise the totality of people's mantis entity encounter experiences as pertaining to this as being a little skewed and limiting in my view, based on my research on the phenomenon so far. Other studies have examined DMT entity encounters manifesting across a broader spectrum of entity types, but in this study I was more interested in shining a light on this particular subset of entity encounters, as there is already a great deal to unpack here (and they also occur in a far broader and more diverse array of contexts and states than under DMT alone).
