Running Earthwalker tomorrow back to back with a mash up of Max Ion, Cyb's salt and EW to see if there is any difference. Only got low yield first time around with EW so hoping to tighten up on the schoolboy errors made on my behalf a second time around.

Quick questions to all those on this thread. During the last step, how quick are you getting rid of the solvent once the dish is removed from the freezer and getting the fan on it? Is this time critical? I think the first time I took too long, didn't have the fan set up directly on it. In the process, could any dmt have evaporated?

Also, 18 hour minimum in the freezer... Do some people run an optimum time and optimum sub temp? I've heard -6 a few times. Can anyone confirm? If I'm getting to precise them let me know, just can't work out where the majority of the DMT was lost on the first cook. Only 0.5 at the most gained from 100g and I felt like I ran a super tight ship in general.

Pulling in general: I'm going no where near the layer that separates the two solutions right? I just kept getting the distinct feeling that I was missing all the good stuff on the first round of solvent pulls. I could almost see hundreds of crystals on that layer everyone says keep away from and it seemed like they couldn't break through in to the solvent. Or, I could be completely mistaken and should draw up zero of that layer. I know that's what all the info says but does anyone's eyes play tricks on them? Even then, assuming you can actually see dmt in the solution in the first place. :?:

DMT won't evap, it may disolve back into the NPS at room temp, I poor it off quickly and sit upside down to drain any excess for about 1 minute then put it under a fan. I keep the NPS for later pulls anyway so any DMT that didn't precip can be got at a later date.

I usally do 24hrs as cold as my freezer will go but haven't played with these numbers, if your NPS is clear you should be good.

I haven't seen any crystals at the pulling stage, mostly just fats inbetween the base and NPS, try use a smaller pipette or syringe to get as close as you can I guess. If you feel you have more product left over then do some extra pulls, I'm probably pretty excessive with the amount of pulls I do but I'm annoying like that.

I'm still a noob so take my advice with a grain of spice.

-6°C is not cold enough (if you are speaking in °F, it's good^^). It works but you have to understand that the colder is the NPS, the less DMT is soluble in it and so you have more cristals.
Good freezers reach at least -18°C on the minimum setting which is good.

Just finished up with my last extraction.

~ 250g ACRB
~ 750ml distilled water
~ Pre-heat 1.5 hour @ 55c
~ Freeze/Thaw x3
~ 250ml distilled water + 100ml vin; PH 3.04
~ Acid Cook Low 55c-65c 8-9 Hours.
~ Salt (90g-400ml)
~ Base (65g-400ml); PH 12.77
~ Base Cook Low 55-65 - 3 Hours.
~ 8 * 30ml Pulls (ran out of room in container.)
~ Mini A/B - 500ml distilled water - 100ml vin; PH 3.20
~ Wash & Pull
~ Base 200ml distilled water - 50g lye; PH 12
~ 14 * 60ml pulls from mini A/B.

The mini A/B is still a little cloudy so I might pull some more but I've already pulled so much....

Total yeild 2.947 (1.1%) is lower than I was hoping for based on my previous 100g extractions but oh well, can't complain about 3g of spice! Plus I did spill a little transferring the pulls to the mini A/B... doh!. I might see if the base soup is still holding anything but the amount of pulls seems excessive.

Also I fell asleep when I was doing the pre-evap and accidentally went all the way. Got some amazing crystals I could pick out of the dish with tweezers as a result though.

Great work! A friend and I just finished our second tek with low results. Under the fan now but I reckon 1g tops from 200grams of ACRB. Would be really interested to know the following as I have 100grams left and would like to follow the above for direct comparison.

1) Am I right that 250grams is powdered?
2) Did you defat before the a/b?
3) Our left over from the clean is full of what looks like crystal which has settled at the bottom on the vessel and a gently swirl seems to displace it. Looks like crystal and I'm assuming the DMT is non soluble in a polar environment. Could this be our missing spice?

1) Yeah very finely powdered.
2) No defat, just the mini A/B.
3) Not sure about this, the waste NPS I have from my mini A/B is cloudy with some base soup at the bottom. I assumed it was mostly fats.

You could possibly wash it with acidic water then base and pull to see what you get but I'm not sure about this, someone with more experience might need to chime in.

For 100g of bark I've had great results following Earthwalkers TEK to the letter, good luck & let us know how you go. :thumb_up:

I don't really get much wax after the mini a/b but I did get some nice honey direct from the base soup on my first extraction which I wiped up with some herbs for a great trip.

I pulled another 1.054g out of my base soup which was about 60/40 crystal/red goo (no mini a/b just straight freeze), I haven't tried it though as I was thinking I should re-x.

Do you do heated pulls in the mini A/B? I'm thinking I get more wax because I always do heated pulls. I do love the waxy goodness
