Advice on extraction from pedro

A while ago SWIM was making mescaline carbonate using PlainCoil's method. He go to the point where crude mescaline carbonate was dissolved in hot 99% IPA, and then put in the freezer. However, nothing seemed to be precipitating out. The IPA was dark orange, suggesting that at least some alkaloids were still dissolved in it.

SWIM used roughly 60-70 mL IPA for 1.310 g crude mesc. carbonate (was this too much?) What should SWIM do?

perhaps just reducing some of the volume by evaporation and trying to precip. again...it's gotta be in there somewhere
