Has anyone noticed a difference, in what is known to them, to be an overall difference in mood and experience with certain substances, during specific astrological tranists and aspects and occurences?

Such as negative experience associated with hard aspects to natal planets?
 
It's interesting you should inquire about this. I have an interest in astrology and read about it from time to time. I've always wondered about the influences certain planet positions have on spice usage. I imagine that hard aspects like oppositions and squares would indeed affect trips, but more investigation needs to be done. Swim does in fact keep an eye on the heavenly bodies and plans his journeys accordingly. For example, swim never trips when Mercury is in retrograde. The next occurence of that will be 19 April to 11 May this year. It happens about 3 times a year. Also, his high dose sessions are conducted always when the moon is waxing. His best experiences have come around the first quarter, which is right around the corner from now. Happy traveling!
 
Yes i've heard Mercury retrograde is an overall dangerous time.

I know that it has been tested out with cases with mary j. The experience/ overall mood and ability to stay focused and energetic seems greatly different.

Mercury rules all forms of communication. During a retrograde period, generally people are difficult to talk to, glitches tend to occur in electronics equipment, and computers in particular (especially if Uranus is in aspect to Saturn), letters get lost in the mail, orders from entheogenic vendors get fucked up, and business deals go sour due to misunderstandings.

I understand what you're saying, house. I am open-minded enough to not take astrology as the holy gospel. Through years of astute observation, I have noticed several reoccuring patterns and trends which occur during specific times. Many others will concur that the Mercury retro thing is accurate. Just because a planet is in a certain position doesn't mean you have to postpone a journey. It simply means that specific energies are present.Personally, I do not believe all of what astrology has to offer. It is not an exact science. There are many inconsistencies in Astrology. For example, astrologers are still not sure about what influence Pluto really has. I don't get caught up in it to the point to were it rules over my decisions and influences my thinking. That would be just wrong. The fact of the matter is that Astrology is a useful tool to know what the weather is going to be like down the road. If used properly, astrology will help you have greater understanding about why certain things happen a certain way, and to prevent undesirable situations in life.
