Hey everyone,

You may have seen my thread and my posts about cooking up an Aya brew in the coming days. I've never done Aya but am a veteran with Pharma. I'd like to know a few things, such as the differences, signs to look for, etc. With Pharma, I could always tell how things were going and if the cocktail was working due to a change in my breath, a weighed down feeling, an at times bursts of energy. I want to know how I can be sure I didn't screw up my brew after consumption. I'm a nervous nilly and a bit of a perfectionist at times. Even by following the great recipes on here, I'm not sure I did it right until it actually happens.

Two other things: A lot of people say take caapi, wait, then take the dmt portion. I plan on doubling or tripling doses, starting small. Should I take all 50g of caapi and then 5g of dmt or should I take them both at the same time?

Also, is there a way to determine potency of Aya vs Pharma? With the latter, I worked out a formula for basing it on someone's weight, but Aya seems so different, I'm not sure how to figure it out, and/or if it's the same.

5 grams of dmt:surprised no you probably don't

5 grams of Chacruna then yes you do need caapi;)

Usually you use a one to one ratio

I believe that is for pharma. Everyone else so far has mentioned the above 50:5 for Ayahuasca.

Yeah the plant material is 5g, sorry or the confusion. Thought I mentioned that in my 1st post, or assumed it was obvious when I talked about dosing with caapi first and then "the dmt portion."

Here you see post of peers doising 100 grams of caapi brew, then caaping 100 mg of n,n-DMT.
Other would likely dose 200 mg of harmalas extracted from rue, and dose 20 grams of chacruna with it.
So, the confusion could be.
Now 5 grams of chacruna seem pretty low a dose. Maybe 5 grams of high quality chaliponga. Also, about the brew in general, while you rather brew
with a clean water as possible and neutral or slightly acidic pH, the use of acid to brew tend to make it far less palatable, if not, downrightly nauseous.
Then, you can't go wrong if you boil the plant enough. Drinking the two tea separately if you want to make sure you're inhibited is a reasonable option while the straight mix is working too. If you're a veteran to pharma, there is really nothing to be anxious about, ayahuasca can trigger a more profound purge but it can be also more user friendly ;)

enjoy the synergy of amazonia.
