Base Soup & Naphtha with Vibration

OK, I'm wondering if we are missing a trick.

I've just been doing some experiments tapping the sides of my current MHRB extraction at the Naphtha pulling stage.

Jar repeatedly swirled for about 30 second, then leave to settle.

You see is it settle to maybe 10mm of clear Naphtha on top, if you give the sides of the jar a good tapping with your finger tips you can quickly turn 10mm into 20mm of Naphtha, the tapping pops the 'Naphtha bubbles'. I've just tried this with my wife's vibrating facial scrub massager, that's what she tells me it is, I don't think its quite as powerful as tapping the sides of the jar but its got me thinking.

Would a more substantial Vibrator (Sex toy, Vibration plate or maybe an Ultrasonic transducer) work to shorten the settling time in separating the layers? Could it maybe limit the amount of emulsification too??

Has anyone else tried such a thing?

Then just tape it to the side of the Jar / Flask, assuming it doesn't reach like a resonant frequency and shatter the glass.

I was trying to video my jar tapping and vibro-facial-scrub tests but I keep getting reflections of my face in the jar!

Or should I just get a stir plate, anyone using a stir plate for their MHRB extractions? Let me know the benefits.

Stir plates look relatively cheap on Ebay etc.

I'm sure I've read someone's TEK with mention of 'Sonicators' but I think I'd struggle to get a Bassline out of them!

Pah, just a couple of suitably detuned oscillators and you'll be getting whatever tone their frequency difference equates to

Modular Synths these days, I've kinda gone from Software to Gear to Software and back to Gear over the course of the last 30 years. And I'm much happier noodling about with Eurorack Synth than Software, it's refreshing to pull all the plugs on the modular and know that something will never be recreated.
No more started and unfinished software projects, I like the disposable aspect.

Yeah, nice. I started out on hardware in the 90s, and am quite happily in the Box these days. I can definitely see the appeal of modular though. Personal space station console control

There's a fine line, especially on the 'sensible', which does make it rather compelling for me...
Here's what I'd understand to be an archetypal donk mix:

great for high speed, long-distance driving when needs must
Donk was something of a phenomenon in northwest England at least:

It's actually a bit of a stretch to extend that to [IVY] & friends choices, where the parts we're referring to tread an interesting line along the borders of happy hardcore, hardtrance, hard house and bounce while holding back from becoming unbearably cheesy or saccharine, but 'Donk' makes for such a succinct term that I'll try letting it speak for itself from this point.

This, indeed, is why I list it under my guilty pleasures, and tend to avoid playing it out in public without means of rapid escape.

I tried using a stir plate for pulls using ACRB. This was with ~500g rootbark and a 2L Erlenmeyer flask. I got essentially nothing after three pulls. I don't think my stir plate can spin fast enough to actually mix the layers without throwing the stir bar. I then went back to very gently rocking 90 degrees while rotating and got very cloudy pink naphtha. Upon freezing I can see I pulled a ton of congealed plant fats alongside the NMT/DMT. I've been wrestling with this ACRB for two weeks now, so I'm happy with pulling anything at this point.

Yeah the supposedly 3 Litre capable one I got will not stir 2L of MHRB base soup, thats approx 200-250g of MHRB.
It mixes water just fine of course, I've ordered some different size Stir bars to try and see if a slightly bigger one will stir the 2L of soup.

Mine would create a decent vortex, but it just wouldn't pull anything from the soup. This was using a bigger like 1.25 inch bar. I was really hoping to find a working shortcut around the constant mixing and settling. I'll play around with it in the future and see what I see.
