Black caapi vine changa?

Migrated topic.

A FOAF just received some black caapi vine in the mail. Thorough research has shown the black caapi vine to be pretty potent as opposed to yellow or red. If one were to incorporate this into a changa blend what steps would be necessary? He has seen teks on how to extract the alkaloids from the vine but not how to incorporate this into a changa blend. In other words, once the alkaloids are extracted how is one to know how much of this to add. Only asking because I've heard the black vine is not something to be taken lightly and wouldn't want to my FOAF to experiment with this on his own. any help or suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

I'd recommend doing gibran's easy caapi tek to get the alks out.

Once you've got the dry alks I believe the standard ratio is ~450mg of harmalas : 1g of dmt : 1g of leaf.

Using the extracted alks in this manner, you don't have to use caapi leaves as the base herb but it is still traditional.

This way you know exactly how potent your changa is and you can adjust the ratios to taste.

On a side note, I also believe that doing gibran's tek is far more effective than soaking caapi in a solvent for weeks at a time. (more in response to your other post) When soaking the caapi, you don't know if you got all of the alks out. Using gibran's method, you know for sure.

I'm interested in the idea of attempting this process and then depositing the alks on a mixture of passionflower and blue lotus.

Has anyone else tried this process (with any herbs, not just passionflower/blue lotus specifically) and can comment on the ratio of caapi alks to spice and leaf? i.e. did you also use a ratio of roughly ~450mg of harmalas : 1g of dmt : 1g of herbs?....

Cheers :)
