brachystachys sources

Sorry to post this here, but I can't post in the supplier thread yet it seems. In response to people's queries about P. brachystachys seed sources though, you can get some easily from the UK (ships to US cheap) at Herbiseed, which is a badass site all around.

I also had a ton of luck getting arundinacea, aquatica and brachystachys (MANY varieties of each) through the US Dept. of Agriculture (http://www.ars-grin.gov/npgs/index.html). Just be subtle, and have a good cover story describing your "research" and there shouldn't be any issues. Plus, it's free! (Excuse me if this source is frowned upon here at the Nexus, I'm a newbie).

Herbiseed looks like a nice site.

Is a dollar a gram a good price for shortspike? How many grams does it take to plant a square foot?

I'm guessing a gram would be more than sufficient. Think about how light a seed is.
