cold ipa wash advice please

Make sure your IPA is dry (so either buy it and use from closed bottle, 99% minimum), or dry it by mixing with plenty magnesium sulfate and then decanting/filtering the IPA.
Put your dmt fumarate in a container, add your cold IPA to cover up the dmt fumarates + a bit (like say, twice or three times the volume?) shake it up, let decant and/or filter the IPA. Your fumarates should not dissolve in the IPA, but in any case keep the IPA wash in some stored container in case something goes wrong, you can always evap the IPA and retrieve whatever it has in it.

Its kind of hard to answer that question because AFAIK nobody actually analyzed the content of IPA washes at different temperatures to compare the ammount of excess fumaric acid/impurities that it washes away VS any possible DMT fumarate it washes away. There must be an optimum point where it dissolves most impurities and the least amount of DMT Fumarates.
When I do it, I put the IPA container on the fridge for, say, 20 minutes, and then open it up and use for wash. Try it out and let us know how it goes. Maybe take a picture of your dmt fumarates and weigh it before and after. Again, dont throw the IPA wash away.

I did the FASI tek, Im having trouble with my camera I have pics but cant upload at the moment but the crystals are light yellow & white + they are dry not gooey around 6 grm before wash.
so Im gonna try the cold wash and see what happens Ill post results

If you still read this in time, dont wash everything.. wash maybe half the yield.. that way you can compare the before and after, and also bioassay and see if you feel any difference in potency.

Ok.. Well I washed the entire yeild this time and ended up with 4.8 - 5 grm of lovely just off white crystal, which ment I had around 1 grm of solvent gunk in there so glad to be free of that & hoping it will improve the taste of my changa so am very happy with that, I am converting to freebase at the moment and will let you know the results..
