DIY MDMA test?

Is there a way to make a home mdma test?
Or to test for dangerous unwanted substances at least?
SWIM is too poor to buy one and also a little noid about the ones they sell online.
 
Marquis Reagent is 9 parts concentrated sulfuric acid (H2SO4) and 1 part formaldehyde (CH2O)

The United States Department of Justice method for producing the reagent is the addition of 100 mL of concentrated (95–98%) sulfuric acid to 5 mL of 40% formaldehyde.

Probably be easier to just buy a bottle, it isn't illegal and there is nothing shady about getting it online. If you really want to be thorough it is better to have multiple reagents (Mecke, Mandelin, and Marquis)
 
in SWIMs area meth amphetamine is often cut into or sold as MDMA. Swim discovered that 99% isopropyl alcohol will dissolve MDMA but not meth amphetamines. Other chems such as methylone will probably also dissolve in IPA, but it is a good trick to know! Those pesky meth amphetamines got the better of SWIM back in the day, SWIM didn't even know he was doing them! SWIM won't eat molly anymore, but if he was going to partake, he would not dare touch it unless he performed the ISO purification! Keep in mind, the meth amphetamine is so water soluble that even the 1% water in 99% IPA can still dissolve it if too much is used. Use as little IPA as possible when performing said test. IPA can be sourced at certain gas station as "polar pure gas line antifreeze" in a red ketchup looking bottle. It can also be made out of 91% IPA and salt/baking soda/epsom salt, although the concentration is more like 98-99% tops, I don't recall if it was anhydrous enough to use for said test. Hope that was of some help!
 
Thanks for the tips, there is a big meth problem in SWIMS neck of the woods as well. Definitely will try the IPA trick. Does SWIM know if it will dissolve piperazine?
 
i wouldnt worry about mdmc getting thru. its really a pretty awesome compound when taken the right way.

anyone know a high purity OTC source for formaldehyde? the observational charts for marq testing have become very good and with a little practice you can find nearly any information using a multi reagent kit. just spend the 50 bones and buy one.

I tried re-xtalizing brown MDAI and the brown sludge wouldn't even dissolve in anything, not even in my dishwasher. After learning the basics of metabolites and how the body has a tendency to store these molecules that it cannot destroy, and the toxic mechanisms of a lot of synthesis impurities... I do not do synthetics anymore. It feels like i'm eating garbage. Even M1 or MDMA itself. But unresearched chemicals sold with the intention of profiteering as the number 1 priority with human wellbeing on the opposite end.... what's worse than garbage? ...Eating AIDS? ...being force-fed AIDS? more like being tricked into buying AND eating (and for some selling) AIDS? hai guyz lets smoke some Methiopropamine or MDPPP!!! I'm seriously a quarter inch away from releasing every single high profile (and I know a few) Chinese RC supplier I know into the public domain. Bring to fruition an ultimatum in the hopes of ending this nonsense.
 
me-k re-x ur mdma or methylone before use - suppliers stating 99% purity are lying by 9% always at least.
