Ok, background time... I have been on antidepressants for a while... a long while... and on my most recent week of not

taking them, (because I decided to go cold turkey; terrible idea by the way...knew that too, just made a bad decision) I also

had my first DMT experience. For those of you who read it, it was a truly moving and life affirming set of moments. I have

since tried smoking similar doses of the spice in purely crystal form, as well as in changa, but to no avail. I have not had

another experience as deep and connected as my first.

I have also since watched as others have had even further breakthroughs than my original one, so I know there is nothing

wrong with this batch of spice.

I know that SSRI's can interrupt the pineal gland's ability to produce, and I am currenly on the (proper) path to

cleansing myself of the antidepressants.

My questions are: 1) Has anyone else had problems with prescription drug interactions with DMT ?(antidepressants

specifically, but any stories help) 2) Would you increase the DMT dose to get the desired results, or would you wait until

the medication is thoroughly cleansed before trying again?

Anyone who can shine some educated/experienced light on the subject would be greatly appreciated... even opinions are

welcome, but please state them as such for better understanding.

Thanks, peace and love!

Are you on SSRI or MAO-inhibitors?
If you have SSRI in your body the effects will be reduced, and there's also
a change of serotonin syndrome.
When it comes to MAO-inhibitors the effects should be boosted,
but there's a specific diet you should follow before doing it to make sure it's safe.
Tests have shown a 0,5-3 times increase of the normal effects,
so you should take it very easy when doing hallucinogens on MAO-inhibitors.

Different medications react differently with different hallucinogens though.
You can check out this article at erowid I think it might help you:

MAOI would've been awesome! lol But, Im on an SSRI right now.

I am also taking high doses of vitamin B6 in order to get my natural seratonin production back to where it should be, but I think it will take awhile longer to kick start my natural neurochemical production.

Thanks for the link! I appreciate it :)

Just out of curiosity,,where did u get this fact from?? I agree that effects from tryptamines will be reduced,, but Idk about serotonin syndrome.

I DO know that MDMA with a SSRI can cause serotonin syndrome, but ive never heard of a tryptamine type drug causing it.

I was speaking of hallucinogens in general which realeses serotonin, and I'm pretty
sure most of the tryptamines does that. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Beloved, have you looked into 5HTP? It's a great follow up to B.
Seri syndrome is your brains way of adapting to over stimulation. Think of it as growing a tolerance to happiness.

The most important question to ask yourself is: are you more functional on or off the medication? There have been times where I've wanted to flush mine down the toilet because the side effects are awful and they're definitely a trip killer...but when you think about it logically, what's more important? Being able to function in work/school/life, or being able to have a DMT experience?

I've waited years to try DMT, and I'm going to probably end up waiting years until I am able to function without medication. Priorities.
