Why do I say this? Hmm...

Well,

At first its a complete show off. I mean, absolute darn-right light-fantastic displays of whatever it KNOWS will capture your attention.

I can compare it to a live performance by an amazing band you just saw and heard for the first time.

You go to the show, and boy does it put on a show! You are gripped, and naturally, whenever the next show happens... There you will be. Just one of the many faces in the crowd.

Only.. After a while the show maybe starts to get repetitive. You know what to expect (kinda- lol).

But it is only after that initial period of pure mesmerizing awesomeness, that you truly grasp the concept of what these artists were trying to convey across the whole time.

A message.

Why is DMT a peacock?

Because it is an intelligent molecule darnit! Why else?

If DMT gave you a standard high. Or barely any effect. You might not even think twice about exploring it further. Regarding it as just another stupid substance with no deep meaning to it at all.

Just like that band that failed to put on a captivating performance, it still had a meaning.

What makes me think of this is my own experiences with this strange molecule.

When I started having zero visuals I got really bummed.

But (never start a sentence with the word 'but' it is considered bad grammar) I have come to realize without the visuals, that it has an intense effect on thought processes and problem solving.

It makes me see things from a different light.

I am able to solve deeper issues that I would have usually had an insane mental blockage with prior to usage.

It is for this reason alone, that even if the spice were to cease giving me visuals entirely, I would still make use of this godly tool.

if you are mixing harmalas and DMT together, you might find it more visual if you alter the ratio in favor of the tryptamine.

also, are you sure you are vaping the whole dose in one hit?
or are you not even attempting a break through?

I've never heard of anyone developing a tolerance to DMT except for a partial short term tolerance that only occurs if you try to blast off too soon after the last one.

The times I've done too soon after the last blast off the effects have been mostly visual and not as profound and spiritual as the times I've done it with none in my system.

I'd tend to agree with the others in concept and think maybe you need a slightly higher dose or different smoking method.

We're all different though so maybe there's something else going on, set & setting might have something to do with it too.

The concept of a molecule being intelligent seems a bit hard for me to grasp, I tend to think of DMT as more of key that unlocks something inside us more than the molecule being intelligent itself. That's just my take though.

This kinda thing of 'not vaping correctly' frustrates me... I took a long time to get it right. Trying all different methods. I found a way that works for me.

I do it all kinds of ways. From different machines I built, with normal flames to torch. Doses up to 80mg.

Yes I do normally get it in 1, other times 2 inhales.

When a friend tries some, they normally take MY advice on tehchnique, and NEVER finish the dose I loaded for them because they were gone.

So I really REALLY don't think its my smoking method.

With Changa I would keesh a whole bong of say 100mg 1:1 in one lung. I was a pro @ ganja smoking lol.

Anyway, yes, I stating as fact now:

Around 70 - 75% of my experiences do not create more than a slight shimmering effect on the outside world. I RARELY get CEV. If this is so hard to believe, I don't know I'm not gonna try and convince anyone hahaha.

The other 25% is hard to say, as do get visuals from time to time, but let me put it this way, I never get anything I feel the need to express in my journal$.

My effect has become mostly mental.

So yeah. This is based on my experience. All my friends laugh at me because I don't trip. Like I am hardcore or something. But would you like to be like this? Sometimes I feel like its their statements that mentally block me from tripping too. On most things. I don't take medication.

I believe everything I said above to be true to my life

My post was merely pointing out: that although the spice no longer grants me entry to these wonderful spaces filled with visuals, I have come to notice the mental and therapeutical side to it all.

Iam planning a mimosa and rue oral journey asap. This will be my 5th time consuming a brew. I have yet to experience the amazing effects of oral DMT. This on the other hand could have been my method, I am still playing around with timing etc.

This time I will have 3.5g Rue and 5 minutes later 5g mimosa both in tea form.

I can totally relate to this. My DMT experiences are very visual, and I have yet to experience trips that aren't very visual in nature, but with mushrooms it's a real drag. Like you, all my friends laugh and think I'm hardcore or something, but I have to take extremely large doses to get where I want to go. Even lemon tek and adding harmalas in there only helps so much.

It may be because I have suffered from cluster headaches for much of my life and I use mushrooms as my main treatment for them. I don't take large doses regularly, however. I just need to take a regular dosage at least once a month to prevent the headaches from returning.

I have noticed this with Salvia before to an extent as well. I was using it a lot, almost every day, and there was a period where I didn't experience any visuals of any kind, no matter the dosage. I remember taking a very frightening dosage of legitimate 20x (I had just packed an entire bowl of it, not weighing it at all) thinking I was going to be totally obliterated by it and would definitely experience some visuals. Nothing. Strong bodily feelings and a very salviaesque head space, but no visuals. I came back to it after a bit of a break and the visuals returned, and I haven't experienced this weird phenomenon since.

I think what has been said is probably the best or most fitting explanation for what you're experiencing; it shows us what we need to see when we need it. Those "dud" Salvia trips were some of the most....philosophical? experiences I've had with any substance.

Good luck with the oral dosage. I found oral rue to be very unpleasant for me, but I think it's a personal body chemistry thing because friends don't get the same nastiness as I do from it. Caapi is much nicer to work with for me, and even seems to be a better MAOI to use with oral DMT. Again, it's all down to personal preference and how your body reacts.

It took me a while to experience a full blown trip with oral DMT as well. Don't give up!

Dioxippus - I really appreciate the fact we have similar experience in this regard.

Salvia for me too, I have only once had a true 'breakthrough experience' (in which I went flat like cardboard and slipped into the space between the couch and the pillow, finding myself floating on an aircraft made of books, clothes, shoes, and other standard room objects, which was being controlled by 2 entity's with einstein cliche hairstyles. It was more of a platform than an aircraft actually).


To be honest it was actually mushrooms over easter, I had 4.6g dry, and throughout the night I had intense -philosophical- (thanks) realisations about my father and how to deal with those situations. I don't think anyone can really tell someone they ate the mushrooms wrong. In this case, I stuffed 4.6g in those hollow white easter eggs with the top cracked open, popped the whole thing in my mouth, and chewed until it became a chocolate juice I highly reccommend this ROA if you can't stomach the taste.

After partaking of the spice since then I have come to the conclusion of spice being a peacock

I am sure I will have success with this journey! I am actually going to change it from 5 minutes in between, to exactly 8 minutes. (I am obsessed with 8 since I can remember).

All of you are telling him to dose more or this or that.. I think you are all missing the point. The psychedelic experience isn't just visuals as I hope you would all know.

The visuals aren't the most important part either. So if he is having an intense experience and getting no visuals that is fine also. The psychedelic experience is multi faceted and isn't one set thing.

I think the most deep healing comes from empathogens and I hardly get any visuals from those chemicals.

I have experienced a similair thing with DMT.
First the visual art show prevailed & immensely
inspired my curiosity to explore this Molecule further.

Then, Gradually, the Visual splendor took on a background role,
more and more. As the fireworks moved to the background, the
mental/cognitive & emotional therapuitical effects moved to
the foreground, taking it's place. Visuals aren't gone; but
they are no longer the centerpiece of my DMT journeys like
they once were.

Innitially I lamented the decrease of visual splendor, but as I
realised what I was getting in return I more and more felt that
this was a fine trade.

The visual effects are surely artisticly inspiring and exciting,
but I value DMT's Psycho-therapeutical effects much more TBO.
Since this development I have had much more healing DMT experiences
that helped me become a kinder, more social & happier person.

I have gained much more insight into & understanding of my own
Psyche, leading to the gradual dissolving of emotional Traumas
& the Behavioural problems these Traumas have birthed & kept alive.


This to me is far more valuable than the initial fireworks that DMT
is famous for. Sadly, far too few people who smoke DMT, can look
past the jawdropping visual art show.


However I must also say that often, the imagery is a visual aid used
to help explain messages of diagnosis & healing. Not all visuals on
DMT are random distractions; Many are visual forms of language used
to convey knowledge that is hard for you to understand when explained
in a purely verbal manner.

A friend of mine recently went to peru and drank Ayahuasca 33 times. He never had any visuals in all these ceremonies. I know these curanderos and i have drunk with them here in europe, i know that their Ayahuasca is strong and i get visuals nearly every time. I also don't purge anymore while my friend did in every session.
I don't know why, but i think it has something to do with how much Aya has to work on your body.
More work on your body = less powerful visuals.
In 3 cases i observed that my visuals got really intense when the male shipibo-curandero sung directly to me. The male curandero got me incredible high, the female curandero brought me down to earth again.
