Personally, I think people miss a great deal in this life if they close themselves off to relationships - but this is just my own point of view. Relationships are messy, perhaps even futile (more often than not, anyway), but all we've really got is each other. Everything, every choice you make is a trade off on some level. Find the things that make you happy and try to stay open to possibilities.


My sentiments exactly Art on both points.

Some of the biggest lessons I have learned about myself have been derived from the romantic relationships I have had. Some were very hard won lessons. If people were perfect and did not have a sexual instinct, they would probably have no need for romantic relationships. However, I am far from perfect and fortunately I still have a sex drive. Fortunately me and my lady fit well together and enhance each others life still after many years...
