Anyone know what is the stability of DPT Hcl salt and freebase at room temperature sealed in a glass vial? I assume the salt would be a bit more stable.

I think a good idea is to seperate rc´s from rc´s .
I agree that talking cathiones and other shitty stims does not have it´s place here.
But 5meo-dmt, dpt and all the 4sub tryps generally are synthed to be avaiable but their structure makes them very realted to the tryptamines we discuss here.
Also they seem preety safe so far and some of them are very deep and powerful and on par with NN.
But right now i see 3 dpt threads which is way out of line, better to post stuff like this in one of the old threads instead.

Dude r0m I think you need to chill for a second.. if you don't have anything constructive to say is there any reason to post at all? I am well aware of the rules of this forum, and if Traveler or any of the other moderation team had a problem with this thread I am sure they would contact me themselves.
I chose to ask this question at DMT-Nexus because it is a community of people I trust who may be privy to this information, and also others here who may be curious.
As far as calling DPT simply an "RC", it has actually been around for over 40 years and is used as a religious sacrament by the Temple of True Inner Light.
I simply do not see how my post in any way degrades the integrity or quality of the Nexus. Also notice I posted in the "Other Psychoactives" subforum which exists for a reason.

I don't think we should be so hard on these tryptamines, they are truly wonderful molecules, but maybe it would be a good idea to have a singular DPT thread, or better yet a thread on "lesser known tryptamines", where these questions can be asked.
As for the question, IME, DPT HCL is quite stable, and can be stored for as long as you need for your purposes in a glass vial, maybe a glass amber vial to be safe.
I wouldn't store too much of it in freebase, as it is an oil and difficult to handle, I always just converted to freebase what I needed at the time, and when I needed more I would convert more to freebase.

Thank you for the information. I also spoke to a friend on another forum who had some DPT HCl from 2002 stored in a glass vial at room temperature and in 2010 it was still just as active as day one. It appears for long term storage the hcl salt is ideal.

cause some tryptamine are more stable than other, like dmt>psilocibin crystal.
I'd put it in a amber glass vial in the freezer eventually, if the supplier isn't able to give me an answer.

I keep mine in my snuff bullet on my desk. Still just as potent as day one and its like 6 months old now. I'd say pretty stable as HCl.
I wouldn't keep ANY in fb form. I've yet to try smoking it, but if/when I do I would only base as much as I wanted to smoke at that time.
Also, I understand rOm's POV. Just like it was said in the announcements, all this talk of other chems does take focus away from the PRIMARY focus of this forum, however, as the OP stated, this isn't exactly like PV or anything. DPT is an amazingly powerful cousin of our sacred spice which, IMO, deserves the same amount of respect. All that said, we should keep talk of these chems to a minimum here. There are ohter forums where they are the point of focus and, most likely, where you may find people that know more about these chems than in a forum more dedicated to entheogens.

Anyone know if plugging dpt is a viable option? i hate snorting stuff and dpt seems to be not so nice this way.
