E Mesh Struggles

Hello to all I recently got a wofolo profile to use with my Geek Vape Aegis Max 100. Been trying to get it together for about a month. Now all parts assembled i make my first attempt.

Wattage at 60 Temp control set to 450 tee minus 10 seconds to blast off and the spice melts through the mesh and burns... what am I doing incorrect here?

Yea so it turns out the temperature control was way off temp gun was reading over 700 degrees Fahrenheit. Thank you. The video was very helpful. Gonna just rock it in power mode. Try this again.

Yeah way too hot. I use in wattage mode at like 15-18. Folks who use temp are like 195-200 or so.

The Minty Videos certainly helped me get set up for vaping, even if it wasn't with emesh. All the tips on what power to use etc were very good.

Are you sure your mesh is ss316l? With your mod you can set TCR.

Geekvape Aegis Max: How to Set Up TCR Mode
Enter Menu: Press Fire 5x to unlock/power on, then 3x quickly to highlight mode.
Select TCR: Use + / - buttons to scroll to TCR.
Lock Cold Resistance: Press Fire to move to coil ohms. Ensure coil is room temperature, then press - to lock resistance (padlock icon appears).
Set Coefficient Value: Press Fire to select the TCR field. Use + / - to enter your wire's specific value.
Set Wattage & Save: Press Fire to adjust max wattage limit. Press and hold Fire for 1 second to confirm and exit.

Common TCR Reference Values:
SS316 / SS316L: 00092 – 00105
Standard SS304: 00101 – 00105
Ni200: 00600 – 00620
Titanium (Ti Grade 1): 00350 – 00366

You can do a qtip test - once your TCR is set you set the temp to 470 fire the mod and roll a qtip across the surface for 10 seconds. the cotton should turn light gold. If it's still white turn up your TCR, if it's too dark turn down your TCR>

I would play with your temps. 35 watts 400 F degrees. Is the spice melting through (dripping through the bottom of the mesh)? maybe a finer mesh is needed. Can you post a picture of your atomizer/mesh? If you don't mind sacrificing some spice to experimentation I'd recommend loading up your mesh with spice tapping the fire button to get it melted into the mesh (leave the top of the atomizer off) and then hold the fire button while you slowly blow on the spice/mesh. you'll see it vaporize and blow away. if the temp is right it shouldn't burn, even if you're firing and not blowing on it. The blowing on it is simulating taking a hit (moving air across the mesh/spice). Once it looks right you can reload it, throw the cap on and take a rip.

TCR is a nice idea theoretically but power mode is much simpler and works just as well once you have a good power level for your inhalation rate.

If you're going to manually adjust the TCR target you might as well just use power mode.
