emulsion, still shake or wait?

Migrated topic.

Hey,
At my first attempt it came to emulsion.
Can I now still shake five times in a row and then wait 12 hours until the emulsion has dissolved?
How much time should pass between shaking?

Start heating the vessel in a water bath at a lowish heat and mix roughly every 15 to 30 minutes for 60 to 90 minutes. Should break up the emulsion for you. Good luck :)

I did this but it didnt help :(

I used
180ml white vinegar
100g rootbark powder
100g lye
toped it with water until everything together had 900ml volume.

Yep. That seems like a lit of acid (white vinegar). Add more lye, and then heat the vessel and intermittently mix again. That should break it up some more for you.

It is clearly seperated now, but brown, is this still fixable? The root powder was very fine.
How to proceed now?

Thank you. 2 years later I run into the same problem. I can't believe I'm in the same situation again. But why is brown ok? Isn't that caustic plant material in the naptha? This time I followed exactly "Cybs Hybrid ATB 'Salt' Tek...Designed for newbies." .
