before using the solvent in the technique have you seen it create a separate layer from water? In the past I've bought ethyl acetate which already broke down to ethyl alcohol and vinegar before I used it.

Also if you used weak cactus material the tek has trouble precipitating the citrate and furmaric acid is now suggested.

I bought the EA from a lab a week ago and the powder I made myself from an old San Pedro Cactus I have been growing for 11 years. I took a 1,8m cutting and only used the green skin to make the powder. So I tried to take the most concentrated part of the plant. The EA never formed any separation layers.

I was wondering if I should add more citric acid or maybe more EA, cause I started with the minimum amount of water with the powder?

Wil do. I remembered I tried the A+B tech with no Xtals also forming and the only thing that was a constant in my preperation was using the same cactus. Meaning I need to find another.

Here is the species I made the powder from. From photo 1 - 3 given to me as Trichocereus packanoi but on inspection it looks like a hybrid at best? , Photos 4-6 is another species according to the person who gave it to me it's Trichocereus peruvianus but it looks like Trichocereus pachanoi? Let me know what you think. There are too many people selling the wrong plant

Trichocereus peruvianus seems like the correct ID but they are quite variable in activity. I've seed grown a few and out of 7 only 1 was active.
They look like peruvianus except for second plant that is not as blue and looks like pachanoi... strange you get zero crystals but not uncommon.
