Hi yall,
It's been a while. I'm writing to tell you all about a discovery I've made over the course of about 13 years, with Salvia tea.
I've created a potion I like to call, "Tea of Green." (like "sea of green" from the "Yellow Submarine").
But first of all, let me tell you how it has affected me. I've had it about 6 or 7 times over the course of 13 years, and each time I've had it, it has gifted me with a process, very subtle, and full of amazing, insightful, beautiful, and deeply impactful dreams, that lasts about 3 days. (Yes, 3 days, starting with drinking this tea.) At the end of 3 days, I am feeling great existential peace. Like I know and feel my place in the world. I understand my purpose, and that all the other aches and pains, stressful interactions, silly facebook arguments with strangers, stresses and worries--don't matter in the grand scheme of things. I feel young, but not naive. Present, like actually present. In a "glow" that makes mushroom afterglows seem like child's play.
Here's what I do.
I gather what Mint-family plants I can: Nettles, Peppermint, Lavender, Sage, Sweet Wormwood, Tulsi, Lemon Balm, what have you... ...and Salvia. I take large pinches of each to create a pile of dried/fresh plant matter.
I put this pile of plant matter into a little pot with water, and then I bring it up to an *almost* simmer. No simmering happens. I call this a "supersteep." It's less shocking than pouring boiling water over it, but it is more thorough, in my observation, than pouring simply hot water over herbs in a cup. I'm sure there are other ways of gently steeping herbs, but this is my way and I like it.
I "supersteep" these herbs for like 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
There seems to be a magical synergy between any and all the Mint family plants (Lamiaceae) that happens in this tea. And the Salvia really deepens it all into a spiritual process.
Then, strain, and drink, as you would a normal cup of tea. No need to hold it in your mouth or expect psychoactive effects right away. You're just drinking a nice, refreshing, and complex yet somehow strangely unified-tasting tea.
You'll go to bed that night and sleep really well, perhaps with some beautiful dreams. Same the next night. And likewise, the next night. Or, at least, I do. Every time.
Full disclosure, though: often when I've done this, I've also been microdosing Iboga. So, that might have an effect on the whole thing. Maybe it helps potentiate it all, maybe it steers the whole experience to alignment.
But I've also done this when I'm not microdosing Iboga, and it still has been life-changing. So, go forth! Enter the world of Existential Peace and Deep Alignment with the Tea of Green, but don't sit around waiting for it to take effect, because the effects are equal parts extremely subtle, and yet extremely powerful. Be bold, yet really, there is nothing to fear, because you're drinking the safest plants there are to drink, and you'll only be increasing your safety by drinking them.
Love ya.

I'm very interested in utilizing Salvia orally. Interesting combination and the tea probably tastes good. Do you write in a dream journal?
