Extraction attemp Help!

SWIM tried to make a DMT extraction from phalaris arundinacea, he blended the material, acified the water to ph 5, simmed it for about 1 hour, removed the plant and then added some product which ingredients where only sodium hidroxide and ammonium hidroxide to freebase it to about 10. Finnaly he evaporated the water and some burned yellow to brown color material was left, it smells really bad and SWIM wonders if some hidroxide could have stayed in the containter with all the DMT, would it be dangerous for him to smoke this? whas there any mistake in his method? if there was, is there any way he could fix it?

For one thing thats just a bunch of plant gunk..you only did like half an A/B tek..
You should have made the acid water tea, strained out the plant material, defatted with naptha, then based it, and then pulled the spice with naptha..

That might give you a bunch of yellow tryptamine-ish gunk..if you are lucky..might get nothing..
The stuff is not a good source of DMT..I have done extractions on it out of boredom and curiosity in the past and never got anything close to what mimosa is capable of..once I smoked a big pile of yellow stuff I got and had something similar to a 5meo freakout..but I could never repeat it with other grass.

You need some mimosa.
