filter funnel quick q

Hello there,

I just received a fritted filter funnel g4.
And my question is, how the hell i have to to filter decoction through it, when I cant even blow air through it xD this filtration take 2days;/

You need a filter flask, rubber rings to put between the flask and the fritted funnel and finally you need a vacuum pump to attach to the filter flask.

It is not advisable to filter raw plant material in a glass fritted funnel. Little plant particles get stuck in the frit and are a pain to get out with anything but Caro's acid (which is not something you would want to have in the kitchen.)

You need a stopper with an appropriately sized hole in it for a filter flask. So probably an 8, then you hook up a vacuum source to the vacuum attatchment, in your case it's likely going to be a hand pump. You put your filter paper in, wet with w/e you're running through it, water, organic, whichever. Then you allow the pump to run and pour whatever you're filtering through the funnel.

These filters are meant to work with a vacuum. No vac, no bueno.
