First Time Pharmayahuasca Advice

Greetings all

I have smoked DMT many times but this will be my first time trying pharmayahusca. I met a very nice and generous man at a music festival who shared with me the materials necessary.

He gave me: 300 mg of spice and 6 gms of Syrian Rue. He said this would be enough for two people. The rue that he gave me looks like brown reddish ground up spice. Do I need to do any more preparation to it or is it ready to be drunken?

I've done some reading about different things I should do, but was wondering if people would be willing to share their own personal preferences.

Any info on the preparation, set and setting is most appreciated.

I just received these instructions from the man who gave me the ingredients. Like I said, I know each person does it slightly differently so I'm curious what people's thoughts are on his advice. Here is what he said:

Grade ginger into water (about 4 table spoons) I flavor it with maple syrup & lemon juice, slowly sip and eat the pieces about 1.5 hours before the MAIO

Dissolve the Syrian Rue in some Aqui juice (*not sure what aqui juice is)

Dissolve spice in lemon juice then add orange juice and drink 20 minutes after MAIO.

Wait 1/2 hour.

Here's the thing:
Everyone metabolizes harmalas and DMT differently. So if it doesn't work the first time, don't be discouraged. It takes some experimentation. And even once you have a sweet spot found, there are other factors like what you have eaten that day, that can dramatically alter the experience. You can also eat something 1 hour after ingestion if you feel nothing to help stimulate the digestive system.

Ideally you would want to extract the harmalas out of the syrian rue. Since you only have 6 grams, this isn't really feasible. And it works out because a lot of people just ingest rue without brewing it or extracting it at all. Some people, like myself, find this to be uncomfortable.

You can eat 3 grams of rue in capsules, or parachuted. I would recommend this over tea/dissolved in solution because rue is one of the nastiest tasting things ever...

There is also the debate of taking the DMT with the harmalas at the same time, or waiting a little bit and ingesting them separately. I personally like to ingest them both at the same time, because to me it feels like they work together at the same time. Like I said though, we all metabolize these things differently, so it takes experimentation.

Thank you house, once again you have been most helpful. I guess like you said I just have to try and see what happens and take it from there.

Question: Can you smoke the rue? I read somewhere that if you mix it with weed and smoke it it has psychedelic effects of its own, and then if you smoke dmt after wards it enhances it.

If you extracted the harmine and harmaline out of the rue via manske tek or something like that then they can be freebased and smoked. I really, really would not encourage smoking ground syrian rue seeds. It's not healthy and the effects are going to be minimal compared to the disgust you will feel after attempting it. ;]

My suggestion would be to set aside 20-30mg of spice for you to smoke after consuming the MAOI and DMT. Like wait around an hour after you start feeling effects and then smoke a bit because many people, especially on their first times have failed attempts. Thing is, they probably wouldn't be failed attempts if they smoked the spice afterwards and it really kicks things to the next level. Personally I don't do aya/pharma trips anymore without smoking more DMT on top of it because that's my favorite part :d It's always my chance to see just how far exactly I can push the limits on the experience, plus since it lasts for a while you can really take the time to "look around" and check out what's going on and if there's euphoria, all the more time to bask in its glory.

Thank you for the advice! I will certainly do this. I already had it in mind that even if it does work I may want to smoke at the peak of it as many have said this is an amazing experience.
