Hello & a little account of my harmala journey so far

I would recommend going with a regular hot water extraction, continued with waiting for particles to settle and then decanting. What is also important for me is the addition of some spices that you like. I've been adding cardamom to the teas with great results. Let your taste and imagination guide you. The roasted seeds will work very well in a recipe combined with spices, gives lovely oriental taste and effects. Since you've got lots of seeds to work with there is no loss in playing around with them.
Having taken mini-doses of rue for approximately 19 days in a row, I decided to take a break for a few weeks. However, the idea of combining rue with spices has been in the back of my mind, and I finally gave it a go today.

I used around 1tbsp of loose chai herbs (ginger, cardamom, and such) along with 1tbsp of cocoa nibs, 1tbsp of honey, and 1g of ground/toasted rue. The resulting tea was extremely delicious, and seems to be hitting me, as I type this.

Depending on how I feel later in the day, I may have another cup. Thanks for the suggestion! It feels like a great approach and is fully congruent with my tea-loving ways.

Anyway, I'd like to thank you, Iff and everyone participating in this thread, it really inspired me to connect with this plant once again.
I will start a 3 week plant dieta with it in December, after having tried all 3 batches I have, and I'm very much looking forward to it!

You are welcome. Curious to know if you went ahead with your 3 week plant dieta plan and if yes, how's it?

Just droppin in here to share that I have been experimenting with different quantities of powdered seeds taken in a fasted state and I have found 5 grams to be a sweet spot for me. I have found the effects to be more prominent after a couple of hours and then there is a profound stillness. I have also noticed/felt an emptiness - not the hunger kind but more of a physical nature in my stomach region and other certain bodily sensations that I have noticed during mushroom experiences. On a regular day if I feel the need to take harmalas, I stick to 1/4 tsp of powdered seeds taken with some water and if it's raining and all gardening plans are cancelled for the day, I can go for 5 grams which I haven't weighed but roughly calculated to be what 1tsp amounts to.

Getting to know and working with a plant this way has been amazing.
