The United Nations International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) has published on their website their annual report about the world situation on drugs in 2010. In this report, the INCB has included the preoccupying recommendation towards governments to outlaw traditional plants such as Ayahuasca (a decoction made with botanicals like Banisteriopsis Caapi and Psychotria Viridis) and Tabernanthe Iboga among others, neglecting their important role as traditional medicine, as a sacrament and as therapeutic tool. These are the primary uses of these plants found in societies all over the world.

I hate how the authorities are hell-bent on turning the whole world into a worthless shit hole for their own financial gain, there needs to be more revolutions to show the authorities we're not going to take this kind of shit or the problem of oppressive control is just going to get worse.

It is interesting how they are considering banning Ephedra, I mean fucking Ephedra, how many people on the planet have had their lives destroyed by excessive ephedra use?

The only plant that I am okay with being banned is Datura, because that is the only plant that is actually dangerous that they are considering banning. If datura was banned I don't think it would be sold by drug dealers, I wish the authorities would use their fucking heads and think about what they're doing if this really is for our 'safety' but everyone knows their motives are money, power and control.

Banning any drug has NEVER worked diminishing its use. In fact, the opposite. So no, please dont ban datura, even if its extremely dangerous. Rather spend money on education and harm reduction.

And yeah this measure to ban plants is ridiculous and we should make all the pressure we can, but ultimately I know they will lose the battle. There is no way to control all plant ethnobotanicals (plus there is just absolutely no way Brazil will ban ayahuasca, nor Peru.. And to eliminate all mimosa from northeast Brazil wont happen either)

-What makes me mad is this "illegality of plants scenario"! For example, Cannabis being banned and ridiculed, despite the fact that it is relatively harmless. Yet tobacco that harms health, and kills is legal....where's the sense in that ???

-Surely those that are "in control of the Drugs policies" need to be locked away in prison for misleading the general population, endangering their health, and leaving them no option than either to drink alcohol or smoke tobacco to " get their highs "?? Usually the results of these reports are only employed if it goes along with the pre-planned political agenda. For example if the report was to say marijuana was safe and recommend decriminalization it would be thrown out immediately as this does not suit the political agendas of those making these decisions. In this case however, since they are recommending the outlawing of medicines that are pretty much inherently in opposition to the overall political agenda, it's no doubt they will take the recommendations to heart and do everything in their power to ban our ethnobotanical sacraments.

Dreamer, with the link you have posted I have read the 'Statement INCB annual report' of the page. They were talking about the control MHRB has been put under by certain countries (shitty UK for example) and they were suggesting that all countries put control on mimosa. That was the main focus of those paragraphs. Everything else they mentioned was secondary and to explain why they banned MHRB. It seems they were trying to spam names of psychoactive plants, I don't think they intend to ban all those plants, I think they were just trying to raise awareness of them to all of the authorities of the world.

I predict that MHRB will be made fully illegal everywhere but I doubt they will ban anything else because it seems they just want to put the most-potent and prototypical of plants that represent various drug classes under control. Illegal plants are cannabis, opium poppies, coca leaves, peyotes and now MHRB. The reason they are banning MHRB is because it is the prototypical plant for tryptamine-based hallucinogenics. The others were the prototypical plants for other distinct classes of drugs being cannabinoids, opiates, stimulants and phenethylamine-based hallucinogenics.

What will happen to the Nexus and its users if all psychoactive plants are banned? Also how much longer will non-drug users tolerate their rights being taken away from them so the authorities can target drug users? I predict a breaking point where people will no longer want to comply with the wishes of the authorities, like if the UN makes the suggestion that CCTV should be put inside all places of residence to stop substance abuse. Many non-drug users have cacti as ornamental plants, if cacti were banned, would they think 'Okay I accept that I am not allowed to have cacti, anything that stops scumbag druggies from getting drugs'?

Powdered MHRB is banned, most vendors are not shipping any form of MHRB to the UK. The only choice for MHRB is shredded and whole MHRB at crazy prices like £90 for 100 grams. It is only a matter of time before all forms of MHRB are banned.

Customs officers have a habit of pulling laws out of their asses, IT IS LEGAL but because customs officers do whatever they want all the time regardless of the law you could be charged with importing 4.5kg of PURE DMT.
