Help with vaporizing

The first time I did this it was in a crack pipe and my lungs almost caught on fire then I can’t remember what device I used successfully so I bought a Yocan Orbit and tried that tonight and it was so harsh and hot, I couldn’t inhale enough. So frustrating. If I’m an inhaling / smoking baby what would be the most gentle method?

I regularly make up 3ml of DMT Juice - Juice mix 800mg Spice, 100mg Citric Acid, 2.45ml PG (Juice pH 7.5), the Citric Acid make the Vape less alkaline and won't melt you lips etc!
