I'm sorry 69Ron, you are never going to convince me that you are Joe Rogan.
I'm no Joe that's for sure. But I do think people need to start putting out positive information about the wonders of psychedelics. We need replacements for people like Timothy Leary, Terrence McKenna, Albert Hofmann, etc., to put a positive light on psychedelics to drown out all the negative false information out there. Now we have Joe Rogan doing it. Albert Hofmann was the only type that serious legislatures would listen to.
Unfortunately Albert Hofmann was never that outspoken about LSD, but when he spoke he spoke highly of the benefits of LSD in a way the older generations can appreciate. Guys like Joe Rogan speak to the younger crowd. He’s being a “Johnny Appleseed” for DMT just like Timothy Leary was for LSD and Terrence McKenna was for mushrooms. The neurosoup girl is also being a “Johnny Appleseed” for psychedelics in general.
Often these “Johnny Appleseed” types tend to be a little reckless. As reckless as Timothy Leary was, it was his persistent praise of LSD that got me interested in the subject of psychedelics. Joe Rogan will have a similar impact on people.
The problem with getting teenagers interested in psychedelics is that many of them are really not mature enough to be using these things. That’s the problem with Joe Rogan. But teenagers mature and eventually becomes the rulers of societies. So you may think it’s a bad thing now, but one day his recklessness could actually lead to a lift on the ban.
Look at marijuana. Some places now allow medical marijuana to be used legally. This happened because there were so many "Johnny Appleseeds” for marijuana that it eventually overturned all the negative publicity on marijuana.
There was a time when marijuana was seen as a horrible drug that would turn people into thugs and criminals and even cause people to become murderers! Can you believe that? Such outlandish lies were all over the place. Boy have times changed.
We need people speaking positively about the subject. We need more than just Joe Rogan doing it. We need people in all walks of life doing it.
I always make an effort to enlighten people about psychedelics. The more people know the truth about them, the less people fear them.
