Hey Joe Rogan - Shut the F**K up!

Migrated topic.
I hear ya ron, my cousin is in college right now and her and her boyfriend would drink everyday. Since we are only 2 years apart Ive gone to some of the campus parties and the amounts of alcohol consumed if ridculous. Some people have even commented on me being a "good christian boy" cause I wont drink and smoke with them. Then swim introduced her and her boy to lsd and a few other psyches and they havent smoked or drank in over a year. They said that it makes them feel dirty and stupid.
Pretty much what big brother wants.

S8championjgh, thanks for posting those video links.

I think Rogan is taking some very important steps towards opening up people to psychedelics.

Rogan has the ability to talk to the average guy in a way that’s quite powerful. This was something Leary or Hoffmann could not do. They were seen as members of the educated elite, not the average guy. Rogan comes off as someone who might live right next door to you. A guy you play football with or go bowling with. That’s quite powerful. He’ll be able to get a larger audience than Leary or McKenna ever could if he plays his cards right.

I think a new age is ahead. With the internet it becomes hard to silence the truth.

Yeah, SWIM does not drink so much anymore... Just a few beers to take the edge off after work is very relaxing and quite enjoyable. I live in a college town right now, and I do enjoy partying some, so I will get drunk every once in a while. But I can tell you that I do it alot less than most other people. I'm actually about the only person I know that is not going to college right now because I haven't started yet(sometimes i'm a terrible procrastinator) but I spend more time reading and learning than any of my friends that actually go to college.

Get the president interested in DMT. Or if DMT is too close to home, talk about peyote. If one of you out there knows him personally (I don’t) then please talk about it to him. Tell him what it actually does. I'll bet he'll be fascinated by the subject. He's a very intelligent person. I'm sure he would look at the subject with an open mind.

The only way to get the laws changed is to show the people in charge what these things really do and how safe they actually are. If I knew the president personally, I would talk to him myself. I have not met a single intelligent person who was not fascinated with the subject.
That`s just UTOPIA, bro. President can`t do much he is just a figurine, don`t be naive stay native !

and its not like you would care so much if you did!!!
My point was that shulgin is not taken seriously by the establishment despite of all his knowledge, because of some statements he made. While hofmann was wise enough at least to call LSD his problem child.
'Problem child' are carefully chosen words. It suggests that it isn't something he regrets having discovered/invented; nobody would ever call nervegas or landmines his problemchild. Yet, it's clear immediately, that dr Hofmann regrets his invention being seen as some sort of partydrug or truth-serum (as it innitially was by the CIA, and other simmilar organizations).

If you truly appreciate The Spice (and i assume you do since you got a DMT inspired sleeve tattoo) then why wouldn't you keep your mouth shut and keep things under the radar?

That is NOT the way we will win this fight...

See my "Hiding in the Shadows" thread.

Because maybe he wants to spread the good word and help drive the average guy to expand his conciousness. I thinks that's a terrible way to look at things. No one would ever discover psychedelics if everyone who used them felt that way about them.

What if Leary had "appreciate" LSD so much he didn't tell anyone about it. A great way to hinder social reform.

you're right. I meant..those guys..
yet all three seem to be the majority of roganites.

I also want to state, that whoever made this video is 1000 times more pathetic than "those guys" could ever be. Instead of going out, having fun, and meeting new people like "those guys" are doing in all those photos, the creator of this film is sitting at home, probably alone, making a film about "those guys". He is glorifying them and creating more futility in his life. And people who watch this video and say, "Yeah, I f****** hate (those guys)." are just as pathetic.

It's either that or the author is an egocentric tool who thinks he knows some great truth about society but what he doesn't realize is that he is a bigger douche than "those guys". But the biggest difference is that he is alone in his mother's basement making a worthless ass video.

Benyme, I really respect you and all the knowledge you have, so I'm going to take the posting of this video as a complete joke.

Get the facts straight.

that's what j.r. should have done before he did his interview.
he said something to the effect of "every night when you dream, your brain produces heavy doses of dmt"

there's no conclusive evidence that dmt is produced during dreams, or that it's even produced in the brain at all

If Alexander shulgin, or straussman, or Hoffman believed that DMT is produced in the brain and is responsible for dreaming and they stated it on a radio interview you wouldn't get on their ass.

glad you caught that...because it was.

I would if they made the dubious mistake of stating anecdotal theories as some sort of tangible fact, not to mention omitting credit where credit is due

I refuse to believe that joe rogan does anything good by providing the "lets get fucked up" crowd another substance to fuck up.

And lets face it: He largly speaks to them. Not to thoughtful explorers of the mind.
They won't help us in any way. They're so bound in our western culture...they can't move one bit beyond following joe rogans advice. Not because they belive, but because joe rogan is just another authoritive figure to surrender to..just like the state.

The "let's get fucked up crowd" probably won't ever find DMT no matter how hard they look. And if they do their own extraction they deserve to try it. It think your displaying a huge amount of prejiduce by saying

They're so bound in our western culture...they can't move one bit beyond following joe rogans advice.
At least if they try entheogens they have a chance of being unbound western culture. I was a person who was "bound" by western culture. When I first used entheogens I didn't have respect for them. I wanted to see pretty colours and elves and what not. The respect was something that was learned. Mind expansions was a process that I had to discover. If everyone had your attitude no one would ever use entheogens ever.

And I don't think the "let's get fucked up crowd" would use DMT to just get fucked up once they tried it. I think most of them would only try it once and say, "it's not for me." Maybe if Joe Rogan was a harvard grad and had a huge vocabulary with an extreme gift for articulation and he made the "common man" feel inferior and filled him with fear of entheogens, you guys would respect him more.

no, I might respect him more if he wasn't a commentator for a "sport" which consists of beating people to within an inch of their life, figuratively speaking. yeah, way to use your head (in that "sport" ).

I kind of like DMT staying under the radar; last thing we need is a bunch of testosterone-driven
boneheads trying to do stupid human tricks while on DMT.

Thanks for posting those youtube videos s8 they leave me with a much better impression of Joe Rogan. After someone's initial post about Joe Rogan I googled him and watched some random youtube videos of him that had left me with a very bad impression. I believe it was where he was accosting Carlos Mencia or Paul Rodriguez and being very rude, threatening and abrasive that left me with a bad first impression. I thought that he spoke quite well in the videos that you posted though.

I would also like to point out that a group of people that Joe Rogan speaks to is athletes. To be a successful athlete a person must show determination, intellegence and respect for one's body. Most athletes also contain intangible qualities such as leadership and social skills. I would be more than happy to introduce a person who shows all these qualities to entheogens.

I also find this comment mildly offensive. My brother has trained in the martial arts for about twelve years. He has also trained in jujitsu and muy tai with MMA fighters. He respects his mind body and spirit more than any other individual I have ever met. He is quite honestly the most emotionally and psychological stable person I have ever known and probably ever will know. Alot a competition and MMA fighters treat their body, mind and spirit in a similar manner. My brother has never drank, had a drag off a cigarrette, or done a mind altering substance and never will. Yet I would be more willing to introduce him to DMT than many "psychonuaghts" that I know because I know he is an intelligent human being who takes his spirituallity very seriously.

Moreover, the martial arts is intertwined with eastern philosophy. Many monks and men of peace engaged in the practice of martial arts and competition fighting.

People, everybody ... Joe included - just say ... Star Children ! We are All Star Children ! ... Everybody can wake up to that with dmt - even the 'douche' will get it !

That first remark you made about mma is so ignorant and retarded, I don't know where to begin. You obviously know NOTHING about mma so maybe you should make stupid comments about it liek that.

Seriously. I second this notion.
