@northape thank you for your insight in this matter.
I reread it a few times and still can't believe my eyes. Why do you people take that much? It's beyond any breakthrough dose.
A few years ago, I was still chasing the dragon with oral acacia and tested how much my body could take. When you get close to an overdose, it becomes sketchy territory, and eventually you just black out. From what I see, people seem to think that more is better, when in reality there is a personal threshold beyond which you simply black out. If you're after a mystical experience, it's beyond the dosage. The Spirit can take you at any dose.
I'm not criticizing anyone here; I'm just sharing my own frustration. Today my eyes were opened to how insane human beings can be. And I thought I was reckless. No words.
Stay safe and healthy.
“Why do you people take that much?”
Because he asked

You ask, we serve.
Yup, been there. That was my first dose with the big torch.
My initial dose was when I picked up the pipe and turned on the torch, just to hold it. Then a voice in my head said I needed to light it. The remaining residue of spice was vaporized that way. My room looked normal, but I felt somewhat altered.
Then I turned around, and my eye caught a giant oak tree. Its leaves immediately changed color to dark green. Then red dots appeared on them, and about half a second later, all the dots pointed directly at me. I asked the tree if I should take more, and it started bending, twisting, and moving for about a second. I was confused about what I was supposed to make of it, as I don't typically communicate with non-human entities.
So I walked away and felt immense euphoria and started laughing. My laughter was in a melody that I recognized from Tibetan monks using the gyaling. Eventually the trip faded. A few hours later, I thought, “Let's take another hit.” I started loading the pipe and thought, “Well, I have enough. Doesn't matter. Let's take a big scoop.”
Before and after my doses, I always weighed the spice, but this time I simply didn't. Based on the amount that I gave my friend which was 80mg, I estimated that my dosage would be 200mg+ I took a hit and looked up, out of the window in front of me. Exactly as I stopped inhaling, all the trees were already alive and “in my face.” I instantly exhaled to abort, and immediately my body felt extremely heavy, so instinctively I lay down on the floor.
When my back hit the floor, I felt myself going out of my body and through the floor. I saw the inside of the floor and felt myself going beyond it into another dimension. This was similar to what Robert Bruce teaches/taught in his astral projection course. When projecting into the Real-Time Zone (RTZ), the “astral” version of the physical world, if a person goes through walls or floors, they enter other dimensions.
Anyway, a lot of things happened during the trip, but early on I had a moment where I blacked out. It was similar to what you were describing, and I've heard the same sentiment before: that blackouts only occur at the highest doses.
“And I thought that I was reckless. No words.”
Yeah, I guess 80 mg was a bit much, but he asked, so yeah. He's about 2 m / 6′ 7″, and with every drug he took, he always pushed it to the maximum. That's literally what he said: “always to the max.” After I did the 280 mg pharmahuasca with 8 g of harmala, he also wanted to try it. So I figured he was bigger than me and would need more. I believe I gave him 10 g harmala tea, and I know for sure that I gave him 500 mg of DMT.
A few months later, we had a chilling session. He took the bong and ripped it a few times. At one point, I put 1 g into the pipe. An hour later, he asked for another hit, but this time he made sure to add: “kindly don't put so much.”
All things aside this stems from 12 years ago, back then, I was not versed in dosage research & safety.
I would not, and will not, advise any casual reader of this post to duplicate what is written here. Safety is paramount when it comes to entheogens or, for that matter, everything else in life. My advice would be to do proper research beforehand. Start with a very small amount to see how your body reacts to the substance, and from there, start low and only increase it in very small increments. Keep detailed notes throughout the process so you can better understand how your body responds.
