Impulse Experiences: Ongoing Compilation

Migrated topic.
@northape @TransistorBass vaporhuasca could be a good alternative. While vaping PG is surely less healthy than not doing it, it still should be much better than smoke.

In my case it's not the health effects from smoking changa what stop me from doing it (as others said, once in a while shouldn't be terrible when compared to many other things). It's more that the "dirty" feeling during and after the experience interfere with my focus in it, and promote a negative mindset in me. That doesn't happen to me when vaping.

I wish I liked changa, as I find the idea of making my own blends with wild plants attractive.

It's weird how this conversation is leading to gratitude for being a longtime smoker. I like smoke. I don't have the same associations and connotation, such that I can wake up a grab a bowl of changa before getting out of bed.

All the same, there's a balance, and I have been out of balance for a while, so have been cutting back how much I put in my lungs. I am working towards limiting/quitting vaping, smoking less cannabis, however, changa isn't a consideration to change. To inverse quote Ducky from Land Before Time: Nope, nope, nope!

I really don’t like the dirty feeling either I get from smoking changa that blig blug describes. Once I started vaping DMT it was clear how much clean and more pure the experience was and so I gave up changa for imo a better method. I don’t like the feeling of smoking anything anymore including weed or caapi leaf. The afterglow is better vaped.

Got it!

For me, changa seems to irritate my lungs and throat less than smoalked changa. Often, with just freebase, I can get a little bit of a cough, like when using my gvg or my APX volt. This morning I have taken a hit of both changa and freebase from the gvg and feel it much more in my throat from the gvg.

I use a dab pen. Haven’t used a VG in years as I still ended up burning stuff in it(mostly weed) and found dab pens more useful.

I also dislike the lingering effect a flame in front of my eyes in the dark can have on my visions since they happen nearly immediately.

I love vaped changa or in a bonga but nowadays I usually use a vape cart of just DMT, mostly because it is way easier to control the dose, more portable, way easier to redose and to maintain a low-medium level non breakthrough state, and overall far less intimidating.

My changa works great but it's very light on the harmala ratio. Upping the harmalas anywhere beyond a light oral or smoked dose hasn't really mixed that well with the kind of stuff i've been doing, and can make it difficult to focus and even distort the experience in some quite odd ways.

Lately I've found even just 25ug LSD to be a superior base for vaped DMT, at least for myself and what I'm doing. I have some family obligations at the moment so I need to keep doses low, but I was blown away the first time I tried it even without the sleep dep. I think smoking so much DMT on top of 100ug the last 3 years has made low dose DMT on its own or with 25ug incredibly relaxing in comparison, after the initial jitters subside. A sort of relaxed focus trance is the goal approach for me and it was quite conducive for that.

I've been enjoying the Sublingual Harmalas + Vaped DMT juice, thats something I feel I want to spend more time in.
Obviously various threads on here encouraged me to try making Changa, and the first experiences have been suitably interesting.

And on a broader note, I've smoked most stuff in the past, used to smoke hash in a homemade pipe or bong for years and years before Bud was available as much in the UK and just as the Skunk-revolution started. I also went through a relatively short phase of smoking tobacco but one particularly bad cold/flu showed me this was nasty and its not something I ever found addictive.
But that does seem to be how I'm made, my most consistent addictions have to be Modular Synthesisers and Masturbation Ha! And I find I'm too lazy to properly foster a good OCD!

Um (scratches head), as a relatively lazy person with a history of OCD, I can say that OCD will take over your life like the Nothing took over Fantastica in The Neverending Story (of its own accord). I’d say that I’m a lot better now, having largely spiraled out of the mental/behavioral patterns I had spiraled into, which I’m aware isn’t always the case for everyone.

I meant no offence. Its just the way I would describe certain periods of my life where I found myself repeating patterns and compulsively counting repetitions of my actions, I feel like I eventually got bored of myself or grew out of it or something.
