Is ayhuasca "more gentle" then spice?

Migrated topic.

As the title basically states. Is there any difference in the ratio/chance of a bad trip when comparing the tea to the spice? Ive heard people say its more beneficial when your on an ayhuasca trip because the duration gives you more time to kind of dissect your surroundings and look for lessons/meaning in your trip. Would anyone concur? And is it true the more times you go into hyperspace the more "welcoming" it becomes?

Yes and no. It depends how you define a bad trip. Smoked DMT can be much more frightening, jolting, but that's not my definition of a bad trip. The smoked experience is too short to really develop an LSD-style bad trip that's very intense.

If ayahuasca is high on harmala alkaloids, then the likelyhood of a bad trip developing is very small. But if its low on harmala alkaloids and high on DMT, the chances increase.

The harmala alkaloids act as sort of a spiritual shield, calming the experience quite a lot.

Yes, ayahuasca is much more beneficial. Smoked DMT is like a roller coaster, fast and furious with little time to really appreciate what you're experiencing; while ayahuasca is like a long country side train trip. With the extra time, you can soak in much more meaning from the experience.

No. You just get more accustomed to it, that's all. It's different every time. You could be using it for years, and then suddenly and unexpectedly have an earth shattering experience with it that completely blows your mind and tops all of your previous experiences with it.

Couldn't be truer.

Be mindful.

Have you had experience with mushrooms? The ayahuasca experience has some similarities to that kind of trip. I find the aya trip to be warmer and more euphoric, but that doesn't mean that it can't go south and I imagine if it ever did that it would be a long ride. Stay home, don't drive, and don't make any emergency phone calls. Smoked DMT is another story and I feel the breakthrough bears no relation to the ayahuasca experience. My breakthroughs have been explosive and frantic but I don't know if I would call them bad. Maybe too powerful.

Dose low with your aya to start.

Uh... Is there really people out there that think you can drive after taking Ayahuasca?! What a crazy world.

Ayahuasca is different than smoked DMT, but i don't think that 'more gentle' would be the apropriate words.

Especially the first few times you do it, it can be realy impressive and intimidating.

It is totally divine, but also completely without mercy.
And it doesn't listen when you say "stop, that's enough".

Ayahuasca offers, in my view, more or less the ultimate psychedelic experience. It's psychedelic effects are like those of a high dose of shrooms, but it has something mushrooms don't have wich is almost impossible to describe. It's it's divinity and it's energy.

It has a divine glow, that it shares with nothing i know, except large amounts of mescaline-cactus. Some say that ibogaine is also comparable with it, but with that stuff i have no experience.

There is one other thing i can say about it: No-one ever regret's taking ayahuasca.

They really are very very different...

Ayahuasca can have like 20mg spice only and still be a full on spiritual experience becasue of of the presence of the vine...the vine is just as important as the light in a brew..probly more so..

The vine adds something to it all for me that i can even begin to explain..its like floating on a cloud.

No-one is ever gonna succeed in explaining what it is the vine adds. But you know it, once you've experienced it.

And something of it stays with you for a long time.

A friend of me once told me that it looked as if i was emitting light, weeks after i'd done it.
That's how powerfull it is.
