I cannot believe that I have barely got over last years Red Rocks and Blue Umphrey's Mcgee w/Galactic, and here it is again almost summer.

That is to say that it is ticket buying season.
And I also look forward to this years celebration of the Marijuana Holiday. I always seem to miss it, but I blame the weed.

I highly recommend it to any fellow music festival seekers who can make it to Hunter Mountain. It's in the Catskill Mountains in Yew York. I went last year and had a blast. It's really a beautiful venue and well organized. It's June 2nd thru the 5th... :d

....and one of my friends got me a Phish ticket for Darien Lake :twisted:

I wish a wonderful 4/20 for everyone. It's been about 7 weeks since I quit smoking, although 3 weeks ago I took 2 hits and got faded.

Today I'm going to be visiting with friends, playing a little Disc-Golf, and probably smoking a blunt. My friends and I usually celebrate this day more than all our birthdays combined, so who knows what will happen.

So how did "4/20" get to be "weed day" originally? I know about 4/19 being "bicycle day" because it was the day (in 1943) Albert Hoffman rode home on his bicycle at the start of the first ever intentional LSD trip.

I always thought "420" referred to "quitting time" at work and thus the time of day people might start smoking weed.

who knows..Ive always associated "420" with teenage stoner kids who smoke way too much and eat junk food all day lol
The 420 events here in vancouver are riddled with that kinda thing..lots of little kids who just smoke "mad chronic" all day..there really isnt much about it that is psychedelic at all..it's sort of mind numbing the whole scene after a while. I love cannabis, but the whole "420" thing here just got way way old. kinda sad concidering this in vancouver, then again what would you expect..
