Ketamine and DMT together for fear alleviation

It's a different experience. Ketamine seems to really potentiate DMT while at the same time keeping one more detached from the experience (which can help with fear, as you say).

Hi , ketamine is effective but it not good, unlike DMT that is a positive force , the spirit molecule, and should never be mixed with anything especially that , keep it pure . The only alleviation to fear is practice and training .
Seriously don't do ketamine

That's an opinion, which is fine, but it's not a general "should". I.e. the combination with harmalas is pretty uncontroversial to most people.

I agree mixing it with ketamine results in a different experience, and IMO it's a lesser experience. Other people prefer it.

I agree.

Bear in mind the Attitude guidelines: present a statement as your opinion or else provide evidence for it.

Yes I apologize it's just my opinion from experience , and I don't mean to say what you should or should not do ,
but the evidence is crystal clear ,
It had a extremely bad effect on many young people. ie bladder problems for rest of there lives .

Over 30 years I've learned to mastered the psychedelic experience , because I listened to the advice
from my inner self , and it makes it very clear , what's ok and what's not ok to do .

DMT and psilocybin are no drug , just a gift from a god .
But everyone to there own, we all look out of a different window .

No need to apologize, it was just a heads up. As making blanket statements can easily result in a conversation between two "X is good" and "X is bad" sides, both partly right and wrong, and both lacking nuance.

Ketamine definitely has a very different risk profile than psychedelics. It's considerably more physically dangerous with chronic use, as you say. It also has more addictive potential. No doubt about that.

Personally, I'm in agreement with Shulgin's "just say know" in place of "just say no". When dealing with any substance, one needs to be well informed about its risk profile, the tradeoffs one is making, and be honest about one's own tendencies and particular risks. Then, one should also be honest about their use and its tradeoffs and consequences. I don't think there are inherently bad substances, but there are bad relationships with substances. And some substances are much trickier to handle in a responsible way.

So I agree that one needs to be cautious when approaching ketamine. I've found that, to me, spacing ketamine experiences out several weeks and keeping them intentional and large dose is a good balance. If I started using it casually, I think I'd end up overusing it. Anyways, I've been finding it less and less useful as time goes by.

Yes I agree with all that , totally get what you saying about statements.
K came into my life in the early 2000's at the back end of the rave scene.
I got to admit , in its place , at the end of a three day party ( rave,,) it was perfect , mind bending, and extremely
Hilarious when done collaboratory in a group , one for all and all for one .
But outside of that I could see it having a negative effect on the younger members of our group who oddly were doing it through the the week . ?

Strangely DMT is the only substance my inner self excepts , even encourages me to do, anything else including sugar , It will kick my ass . 🥰🍄

Ketamine is not like DMT or like any other classical psychedelic. It does things other psychedelics don’t/can’t do outside of Iboga type alkaloids. What’s the point of comparing these things and then creating a spiritual hierarchy out of it? They are totally different things.

Sure ketamine can/probly will eliminate a lot of fear and anxiety going in but it also changes it in ways that I guess keep from repeating it. I have done it but I rarely do ketamine and have found it just combines better for me with phenethylamines like 2cb or ergolines like LSD.

I have had good trips on combinations like LSD/MDMA then a little ketamine followed by vaped DMT. Those are just wild combinations though that happened in the moment and I’m not sure I will repeat at this point in my life.

The best pre dose for DMT is psilocybin, LSD or mescaline imo.

I have to say that I am utterly fascinated how popular ketamine is in psychedelics circles. I had it once and it felt like direct opposite of what I like in psychedelics. Disconnection instead of connection, emotionally flat instead of emotional richness etc.
I did not like it at all, second worst substance experience in my life.

This describes misuse. It's awesome if you know how to use it. Nothing is all good nothing is all bad. And set and setting make a hell of a difference not just in the experience, but also in the habits formed. When used with awareness and insight, it's powerfully therapeutic and safe.

And for me it's the best substance I love being able to disconnect emotionally. It allows me to breakthrough and not be scared of death, whereas on actual psychedelics it's terrifying for me. K holes for me or like waking dreams, mixed with a concert and a light show all at once

I fully understand the need for disconnection in some people. What is surprising to me is that it's so popular in psychedelic circles.
I would expect it to be much more popular within heroin (or similar substances) users group.
At k-hole doses, there is an experience that shares many aspects (but not all) with a psychedelic experience. There's a huge difference between the effects at the lower and the higher dosage range.

Fear is an energy, so is nausea. Feeling them fully gives you an extra boost and opens new parts of yourself. I'm in full agreement with @doubledog here - psychedelics are about connection for me. Our human tendency to control everything and make it comfortable led us to where we are right now. Why not embrace life with all the chaos and unpredictability? Your courage will be rewarded ;)

Thanks I'm gonna trust you guys, seems like sound advice!

I always go for k holes doses

It's closer to psychedelics than heroin imo, but yes it is very hedonistic for sure

It’s not really a psychedelic. It’s a dissociative oneirogen and maybe even “existigen” like some people call salvinorin.

It’s not only a void either. Ketamine produced full on astral projection type trips where you can fly out into the cosmos and warp to other galaxies etc. I have shot through stargates in the sun and had aliens show me how to time travel through spinning rings in space. Whatever ketamine is beyond just an anesthetic it’s def not just an opioid. It’s incredibly entheogenic at times and produces “trips” that can feel more real than anything. Sometimes it’s a cold void where your ego slowly dissolves. It’s more a dissolution than a death.

It’s one of the only drugs I have been guided out of my body by angels on. It’s definitely weird stuff anyway.

Ik it's not a psychedelic bad choice of words lol and ive never heard of oneirogan or existigen either!

But yes ur comment is pretty much what I was trying to say! I've had kholes but never what you're describing sounds incredible!

It's just not a classical psychedelic, but depending on what definition of psychedelic you use, based on effects and experience, it's psychedelic to many people.
