microdosing with aya

Is it possible to microdose with ayahuasca/analogues?
I get that the MAOI dose would have to be high enough for any amount of DMT to have effects...but could you take a normal dose of an MAOI containing brew, followed by a very light dose of a DMT containing brew?
I don't even know how you could gauge the dosage accurately, I was just curious if this would work after experiencing an amazing afterglow my first time trying acacia/Syrian rue.

I have done it many times. Effects are lighter and short lives since maoi inhibition quickly drops beyond the threshhold. Usually just "oral dmt" since the harmalas won't effect you too much at a low dose.

Normal maoi amount and just lower the amount of acacia in your brew.

Personally i find micro dosing useful for just contemplation of ideas. Get more in depth with thoughts in general. However, purging might occur so don't accidentally take it at work.

Bear in mind, that you might only get an uncomfortable comeup just to find that there is no trip at all. I don't think i'd recommend it for contemplation.

You might want to consider sublingual harmalas and vaped dmt instead. Easier to dose.

Interesting. The idea was appealing to me in part because of the longer duration compared to vaping, and also the noticeable antidepressant effects.

I haven't vaped DMT before, but I guess that's all the more reason to try an extraction.

I think you'll find that if you take a moderate to strong dosage of Rue or Caapi (enough to inhibit MAO-A pretty fully) then even the smallest amount of DMT can do something. Back when i used to take Mimosa root and Rue seed in capsules, i tried taking one capsule of Mimosa powder a few good times and it certainly had some effect which was noticeable, but felt more like if i had taken something for ADHD like a Ritalin or something, mild but noticeable, but certainly nothing "trippy" if i recall correctly. I've been thinking about this here lately and i myself may give micro or low dosing oral DMT another try and see what may come of it, especially since i've been taking Rue extract daily for pretty much a month now.

ShamensStamen is right in the way that with proper inhibition even a small dose of DMT can achieve a lot. If you have taken enough harmalas, the DMT part of the experience will last longer even if vaped. I would say around 15 minutes with aftereffects included. The advantage is that you can vape, meditate..vape again...

You can vape a lot, a little etc and keep on deciding if you want to continue after 8-15 minutes have passed.

If you are looking for a more intense experience and proper trip i'd just eat a proper dose of harmalas with enough DMT ( i personally like to err on the lower end of the dosage range)
