hey all,


before i post the problem, i wanted to clarify that despite my number of posts, i've been lurking in the shadows on this forum for the past few months...i'm at the point where i need to ask some questions as searching for relevant posts has still left me scratching my head....so here goes...

the main event: i did my first extraction with 2lbs of powdered mhrb...naptha, ammonia, blah blah....nice bunch of white crystals....

i proceeded to smoke it in a freebase pipe...cannot remember the amounts because i varied it each time due to not having a breakthrough...not even close....just the ungodly burning plastic vapor tearing up my windpipe each hit....i attempted this on 6 different occasions, each time varying the amount of crystals and my vaporizing technique....i was obviously doing something wrong and i was trying to figure out what...

got fed up, said screw it and put it all away for a couple months....

rematch: decided to start fresh and converted 2lbs of powdered mhrb using q21q21s tek...lime, limonene, blah blah....evaporated the liquid to a nice, slightly viscous orange liquid....in a ticture bottle...

tried infusing some Heimia Salicifolia with my tincture...the herb never dried...it just looked moist and gooey a few hours later....said what the hell and tried smoking it...this time, my mouth and windpipe was greeted with such an ungodly sour vapor, that i actually considered barfing....took as many hits as i could and then rushed off to chug something sweet and brush my teeth....

a few days later, i tried it again...the new herb i had infused the day before was still wet and gooey...same result as above...

today, i decided to evap the liquid and smoke it as shown at the bottom of q21q21s tek...heated with a torch till it stopped bubbling and steaming....dark goo left....tried smoking it in my freebase pipe...same gd thing :evil: ....nothing even close to a breakthrough....i'm frustrated....please help me out and point out what i may be doing wrong....any advice is GREATLY appreciated....
 
oh my god dude, that sounds terrible.
Always allow ur herb to fully dry otherwise its going to taste really bad, and ur probably inhaling solvent fumes, which is not desirable.
I suggest making a good changa, it will make the experience SOO much more pleasant, then you dont have to smoke out of a basepipe either, bongs work much better imo.
People tell me that its easy to burn ur dmt even in a base pipe, i have a feeling thats what you are doing, and thats the reason it tasted so bad. if dmt is vaped properly, it is almost tasteless. SWIM had a similar problem when he started
Surely you still have a lot of dmt left from ur original 2 pound extraction? should have a good 9g out of that approx.
I suggest using caapi leaf + maybe blue lotus or something like damiana, check the changa section, use herbs the people report are good. If you would like a really long experience i suggest getting some syrian rue and doing a manske, then add the harmalas. Its SOO worth it.

yeah i probably did burn my dmt to nothingness...oh well...perhaps a vapor genie would work better....
i'll definitely try what you suggested though for changa, thanks...right about now, i'd try smoking it with my lawn clippings if that would work ha...
 
Trouble Breaking Through???

And as Juggz said, leave the herb to dry properly.
You can infuse just about any smokable herb, but caapi leaf is where its at IMO. If no Caapi leaf is available, passionflower/pau'darco/mullein/lotus all infuse very nicely.
 
Yep. Changa the changa changa. And yes, the GVG is worth it.

Heimia salicfolia isn't an amazing choice for a starting changa herb, unless you have extensive experience with it, so don't let that first try put you off.

And if your spice doesn't dry on it's own, it's DEFINITELY not going to dry on the herb. If you end up with an "orange tincture" again, turn it into crystals before turning it into changa. And the white stuff you ended up with first time should be perfect, hope you have some more around.
 
Try The Machine. It's almost impossible to burn the spice. The vapour is so concentrated that when you hold your breath long enough you'll break through.
 
wow thank you everyone for your replies....i guess i know what i'll be ordering later ha....

actually the only reason i tried heimia is that was all i had on hand aside from mapacho....used up all my blue lily in a bottle of wine (yucky tasting fyi)

last night i said f- this...took a maoi capsule from ebay and 10 drops of my stuff....and after an hour and half, ended up flashing back to exactly where i left off with aya when i was in peru earlier this year...except no icaros and shamans to pull my ass out of where i didn't want to be....as you all know, no words to describe....it wasn't what i wanted, but it was what i needed....it wasn't bad (i don't see things as good or bad, they just are...), but lets just say i was NOT having fun...after my last aya journey in peru, i came back to the states and promptly had a nervous breakdown....i've always known the big picture, but experiencing it is different of course...like the difference between throwing a bullet and shooting it....

and this is why i wanted to smoke it....i honestly don't enjoy trips that last hours along with bouts of barfing...sometimes, it's nice to be able to step off the merry-go-round when you're done connecting....

what i find fascinating is how some people (not judging at all) use the spice recreationally....for me personally, the spiritual connection from it makes the spice sacred....anyway...sorry to ramble...thanks for letting me vent a bit....fighting off a magnificent headache now....

and i'll let you guys know how the vg works out for me when i get it....
