Noman tek qestion

I am new here, and i was just wondering if in noman's tek i should use cold water? No cooking at all?

Never tried A/B,

STB has always worked very well for SWIM

It's good to put cold water in the jar, but also put the solvent in at the same time and then roll the jar in a tub of water heated at 50-60c for an hour. There's no point having the spice hanging around in NaOH when it could be nuzzling in nice warm solvent.

I'd only recommend using A/B for extracting all the alkaloids as it gives a cleaner starting product, but with STB you can do all the freezing you want to get things nice and clean.

SWIM prefers STB. Quicker, easier, and SWIM has always gotten much higher yields using this method.
