Cubensis mushroom specifically bred and isolated to contain little to no Psilocybin. They are then dried and Extracted into a psycadelic resin. Making this a legal psychoactive product. Its nice.

One company claims selective breeding frm hillbilly strain. Yes baeocystin being main one tests also show Norpsilocin. Had light trip on it few days ago.

This is interesting, splitting up the different compounds in Psilocybe and related. Might we be on the verge of “pharmacybin”?

True - it should be possible to selectively breed for β-carbolines as well.

Here's a line of thought:
  • some mushrooms produce harmine
  • harmine contains a (condensed) benzene ring with a methoxy group
  • this implies the mushroom can methoxylate benzene rings
  • some mushrooms also produce phenethylamine
  • mescaline is a methoxylated phenethylamine
→Can mushrooms be coaxed into methoxylating phenethylamine or its precursors, and if so, how many methoxy groups might they be able to add?

That's a lot of 'ifs' on the same plate - just to throw this challenge out there for the mycologists and biotechnologists ;)
