Salvia dose: 1,000 mg (1.0 g)
Salvia divinorum leaf powder
Route: Oral
Method:
Salvine Tek V02.00
Observation period: ~4 hours
Preparation
Salvia divinorum leaves were powdered using a blender. Before the first experiment, I only placed approximately
4 g of dried Salvia divinorum leaves into the blender. This was based on the author's recommendation that powdered salvinorin A may degrade more quickly and that it may therefore be preferable to either store the powder in a freezer or prepare it on demand:
“Powdered Salvinorin A may degrade faster. It’s probably best to store salvia powder in the freezer or make it on demand.”
However, I will pivot to a different preparation method for future experiments. Rather than blending only a small quantity immediately before use, I will blend a
larger quantity at once in order to produce a more homogenized material in terms of potency.
The author describes this approach as follows:
“Blending a larger quantity creates a more homogenized material in terms of potency. I tend to blend ~20g at a time to homogenize material.”
Accordingly, future batches will be prepared by blending approximately
20 g at a time, with the resulting powdered material stored for subsequent experiments.
The administration was initially attempted by mixing the
1,000 mg of Salvia divinorum leaf powder with 200 mL of water.
However, this was unsuccessful because the powdered plant material remained buoyant and did not mix effectively with the water.
As a result, the plant material had to be filtered from the water, and I ultimately reverted to the administration technique used during the previous experiment.
The effects of the
1,000 mg dose were more pronounced than those observed during the previous 500 mg experiment on 30 August 2026. After approximately
1.5 hours following ingestion, longer-lasting periods of pronounced energetic sensations became noticeable.
Compared with the previous 500 mg experiment, the energetic sensations were:
- More pronounced
- Present for longer periods
- More noticeable after approximately the 1.5-hour mark
The effects nevertheless remained primarily characterized by
energetic/body sensations, rather than a strong or sustained psychedelic experience. I periodically closed my eyes during the observation period to assess whether
closed-eye visuals (CEVs) were present.
No CEVs were observed.
The previous experiment was conducted on
30 August 2026 using
500 mg of
Salvia divinorum leaf powder. During that experiment, the primary effect consisted of intermittent waves of pronounced energetic sensation, occurring approximately 2–3 times over the observation period and lasting roughly 5–10 seconds each. The
1,000 mg experiment produced more pronounced effects, particularly in terms of the duration and persistence of the energetic sensations.
During the previous 500 mg experiment, the
Salvia divinorum powder was placed directly into the mouth, followed by a large sip of water.
For the 1,000 mg experiment, I attempted to suspend the powder in
200 mL of water before administration. This proved impractical because the plant material floated rather than remaining dispersed in the water. Consequently, the powder had to be filtered from the water, after which I used the previous administration technique. Because the plant material became wet during this process, this suggested a possible modification for a future experiment.
A possible modification would be to add only a
very small amount of water—perhaps a few drops—to the powdered plant material, just enough to cause the material to adhere together. The intention would be to form the powder into a small
“blob” rather than attempting to suspend it in a larger volume of water. The blob could then be placed into the mouth with a spoon, positioned toward the back of the tongue, followed by a large sip of water. This would effectively retain the administration method from the previous experiment while potentially making the plant material easier to handle and swallow.
This was the
second Salvine experiment, conducted only
1 day after the previous experiment on 30 August 2026.
The developer of the Salvine Tek advised me to wait
at least 3 days between uses. Despite this recommendation, I was considering taking
2,000 mg today, again only 1 day after the previous intake, and subsequently waiting 3 days before another 2,000 mg experiment. Following that, I was considering increasing the interval to approximately
7 days before the next experiment.
The 1,000 mg dose produced
more pronounced effects than the previous 500 mg dose.
The most notable difference was the appearance of
longer periods of pronounced energetic sensation, which became particularly noticeable approximately
1.5 hours after ingestion. The experiment therefore suggests an increase in observable effects relative to the 500 mg trial, although the experience remained primarily characterized by energetic/body sensations rather than a strong sustained psychedelic state.
