A very beautiful and insightful poem my friend Tim wrote about the spice.:d

Dreams, Magic and Truth.

You can journey to your future, or slip back to your youth,
You can take a passage anywhere, with Dreams, Magic and Truth,
You can slide into dimensions, you never knew were there,
You can give the world transparancy, with the love thats in the air.
You can connect dots back together, and put on your magic cloak,
You can skip another vortex, with a single puff of smoke,
You can call divine spirits, to all come out to play,
You can reach out and touch them, as they all float away.
You can find the art of living, that's embedded in us all,
You can seperate your ego, and learn the earth is just a ball,
You can wrap yourself in mystery, and programme your mind in tune,
Feel electric in your fingertips, and pass it round the room.
You can be at one with everything, however hard it seems,
You can find your inner peace, and run through your field of dreams,
You can discover all your ancestors, let them show you what they see,
You can perch yourself on any branch, of your spiritual family tree.
You can see what there is coming, before you take that glance,
You can see that life's the dancer, and that you are the dance,
You can pick out all the goodness, from everything that's bad,
You can answer all the questions, you never knew you had.
You can find your true enlightenment, just knowing is the proof,
Because there's heaven in this looking glass, with Dreams, Magic and Truth!x

simple in its structure and yet it loses none of its inspirational value from being so. By the end of it it is obvious that Tim successfully channeled his feelings. I especially liked the metaphor-idea of life being the dancer and we are its dances. Damn, I love that. Thank you for sharing, tizza2k.

Perhaps as a society we are too used to the inverse of that metaphor-idea? That is, that life is a dance and we are the dancers? "All the world's a stage," right? Of course, this is true in its own way, but maybe we took this thinking too far. It is both true that we are our own masters and that our ships are steered by unknown, unknowable forces, but we have forgotten the latter. The "inner self," when we feel it acting, feels like alien energy force.

So we are the dances of Life, the dancer. Crazy how what seems to be a paradox can describe us.

THE D(R)EEM

Body effervesces as you float and rise,
Follow a white light with an open mind and closed eyes,
Let go of your fears and feel the beauty of this ride,
You're blasting through space in hopes of reaching the other side,
You know not whom you'll meet or what you'll see,
What you depend on is the feel of the energy,
And if you're ready and willing to receive,
A message will be presented for you to perceive,
So with gratitude and an understanding, keep it with you forever,
Then apply it wisely and you could change your life or even the world for the better.

 I liked it. I recently wrote a poem for my English class. We had to make a 6 line poem/song about a time or event that really helped shape who we are. The poem had to follow a certain rhyme pattern. I of course, wrote about psychedelics, specifically dmt. I know the title isn't original, but hey my teacher didn't know that :p

Divine Moments of Truth

A: Eyes closed, I watch the Universe envelope
A: Before me revelations are ringing like a bell ‘n’
B: I Become one with all, surrender, don’t fear-it
C: Geometric patterns slither across every surface
C: I feel frozen in time, and know my life’s purpose
B: Humbling are the sacred plant spirits
