why such a large amount of bark .....smaller extracts are more efficent and safer ,?

Like is it an AB A STB or ? What is your intent ?

Hey, all... thanks for the views and comments... Let's clear some air.... Yes, I indeed know precisely what I'm doing. It WAS rhetorical and joking. That IS the acid bath shown. It was the kick off to another Hybrid-hybrid Tek. I'm doing the last of my powdered bark and going back to shredded bark. Powder cooks onto the bottom of pan if not constantly stirred. So. I'm doing this large and slow batch to empty the jar.
They get plenty black when the NaOh is right.

I'm a Go Big or Go Home kinda guy, I guess... lol
Only problem I had was the big emulsion from the agitating... had to salt the eff out of it to break it up.... a lil TOO much salt cuz I wasn't measuring. The solution was so jammed full it pushed a bunch of shit into the first few pulls. Even a quick cleanse in a hot pot and decant to new vessel kept a lot of COLOR. Freeze precip'd in 4° freezer, scraped and thrown straight into fresh Nap for Re-X. A Buuuuuuunch of shit and oils were in it.... high exothermic and high salt caused a migration that wasn't planned. OOPS!
When you get too comfortable, and wing in rather than being precise and measuring, shit is bound to throw a wrinkle every now and again. Meatsak makes mistskes... lol
