Nice job Olympus :) I'd like to know what type of needles you used in that Ice Houses tattoo? If I'd say 5RL for the linings would I be very wrong? :) Oh man every one of these pictures makes me really wanna invest in some proper machines and toss those chinese pieces of dung that I have in to the garbage :D
you would be wrong:d . i rarely use anything smaller than an 8r and even those i have made extra fat. other thean the gills in the mushrooms for those i used a tight 4r.

thank you everyone, it feels good when people enjoy your art.
cheers!

You do some great work olympus mon, props.

I started mine a couple days ago, actually the original piece has been on there for a while (the toadstool eating mushrooms). But last week I had some lettering covered up and it began the major part of the tat.
The toadstool eating mushrooms was taken from a picture I got on the net, all the rest of it was hand drawn by me. The tattoos were laid on by one of my best friends.

(Click for bigger version)

Here's what it looks like now (picture taken a day after the tat was done). You can still see some of the lettering if you look close enough (look in the petals on the top half of the tat).

Here is what I drew up for the rest of it.

And here is the colors for it (lazily done in photoshop, just to give you an idea of the colors). The actual colors will differ slightly, of course, but what i'm going for is the chakra colors.

The rest of the petals should be done within the next week or so (just the lines), and the coloring a week or so after that.

I also plan on adding more around/behind the lotus flower, but I'm currently at a loss for ideas. So any comments/suggestions on current/future ink is greatly appreciated, I take criticism well so don't be shy.

here is the line drawing of the new tattoo i started on idtrvlr tonight. its a culmination of all our work with entheo's most notably dmt. this is a very important piece to me as its not only for one of my closest freinds but its also a pictorial representation of all ive learned the past few years with dmt and the nexus. a fitting tribute.

olympus mon: that tattoo drawing is very good. and very original.

Your depiction of the mind-heart connection provides for some far-reaching insights.

oly,
That piece you are doing for idtrvlr is fantastic, incredible, when you are finished it will be beautiful and very meaningful. Treasured by him for life no doubt.

wow, I am amazed but not suprised.

Its one thing to be gifted and another to share those gifts.

Love and Gratitude,

IH

thank you everyone, your encouragement and enjoyment is the best reward an artist can receive. ill post some pics of the actual tattoo soon. there on my camera at work.
cheers

This is such an amazing work OM! So many things compressed into a beautiful image. Thank you for sharing it!

Words can not express my feelings about this piece or the gift that Olympus Mon has shared with me, so I wont even try. Olympus knows how I feel. Here is just a teaser of round one. I think Oly Mon is ok with me sharing this first evolution:

Of course it's a beauty--really extraordinary. But what constantly blows me away about this is the QUANTITY of expression (and information) it contains--all the while without seeming the LEAST BIT crowded or "contrived." There's an enormous amount of very expert and artistic TASTE and JUDGMENT involved in its design, IMO.
