Recrystallization - loss of product?

Hello,

Swim has finally managed to get a wedge of crystally orange goo, HUZZAH! he is thinking of trying to recrystallize but is worried that doing so would cause significant loss of product.

Does recrystallizing come with a risk of this happening?

Also if anyone has a link to a simple tek then i would really appreciate it, i know the gist is, heat naptha - put in goo - discard bottom layer - evap. But need to know how much naptha would be needed etc.

Hmm maybe better to leave it as is then, is there any way of telling if there is NaOH in there? there wasnt any visible in the naptha but i would like to keep my lungs the way they are!

I would advice against re-xing your crystally goo because it is probably some of the best dmt you will ever get. Either make changa with it or vape it properly and you might even get to hear the dmt siren like i do :D

And swim just told me that you might be right, jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus christ, that shit just took swims head off! left a funny tingly sensation on the lips, tasted like inhaling a campfire, and made the inside of his body feel cold as he inhaled. he hasnt experienced the tingling on the lips before could that be a sign NaOH is in there? other than that swim is v pleased!

I think tingling lips can appear with relatively pure spice with no NaOH contamination. Freebase spice is by nature quite basic, so I suppose this would maybe account for that?

Regarding re-x, I like to do it with my product (I just like having a nice vial of white crystals for aesthetic reasons). You can also do it with very little loss of yield and get different grades of purity out of your product. I use the orangey stuff for changa and save nice white crystals for vaping on their own.

Prefer is a strong word but what you have is probably dmt n'oxide, a lot of people think its the friendlier of the two beasts. I love n'oxide but i also love n'n dmt :)
