Hi!!! nexians ... as i cannot get clean naphtha i got This thing which is supposed to be benzine wich is supposed to be the same as petroleum ether.... anyway... i got it from a pharmacy... it stinks.... and looks to be highly volatile... you can even see the vapors coming out from it.... i guess highly flammable and dangeros

Is this the one that is good for extractions???

Better known as Ligroin, its a petroleum ether fraction that boils from 60-110°C
If you put the exact name, the manufacturer, and MSDS in google you may find an MSDS that gives more precise boiling range.
But yes, if a sample evaporates without leaving residue it will work for extractions that prefer less polar solvents. It would not be effective for more polar things like caffeine or mescaline, for instance.

And yes, its as explosive as gasoline- be careful.
