So Many Teks...

I have read nearly all the teks this site has to offer but I'm still not sure which would be the easiest for a beginner.

Any recommendations on the easiest way to extract, the best food safe extraction, or the quickest way to extract?

If you have read them all, just pick whatever seems the simplest to you. Everyone has their preference.

For food safe, you will want to use limonene as your solvent and probably salt with vinegar.
For a quick process, pick any tek that utilizes heating the mimosa soup/mix, which is most of them.

Just pick one and go for it!
Chances are you will attempt multiple teks in your experimentation with the molecule.

Easiest id say would be Nomans and Panoramix

Non toxic/foodsafe Amor's nontoxic approach

Quikest again Nomans.

You should really look into most of them and find what materials suit you best.

SWIM's tek is extremely easy if you have access to lime

His roomie just tried it and got 1.055% his first try in about 6 hours of work.

You see so many teks because almost everyone has a slightly different way of doing it.

I suggest doing an A/B extraction first. It may seem more complex and time consuming when reading through, but there are a host of benifits from A/B...less base is needed (safety) you don't have to clean up your spice before you can smoke it (less time in the end trust me) and most importantly DMT is not something for the lazy man, though there is a tek named such.

To me brewing the plants, handling them as I strain, carefully crafting beautiful large xtals, it all adds to the overall experience for me.

I usually get 1.5% or more with Q21Q21's tek! It only takes an afternoon, not counting the time to freeze precipitate. Although I do use an appropriate amount of lye instead of lime.

Although I'm by no means experienced with this,I think that this question can be answered with common sense. All the Teks listed above, and most the ones youve seen around the forum are working. Some are harder than others, safest to use, and quicker than some others. You pick a Tek based on its difficulty, how available the materials are to you and the setting of where the chemistry is being done. I like nomans Tek personally. Its a STB Tek (or Straight to base). Its Quick. Easy. The materials are (or should be) really easy to find or are substitutable with other things.

It all has to do with your setup. Many will recommended against using any toluene or xylene using Tek unless you can evap it outside as the vapors produced from the solvents are un manageable.

After trying a few different methods, Dry, A/B, STB, I have to say A/B is the most satisfying to do. Though for speed and simplicity a clasic STB with NaOH, Naptha, and freeze precip. is the way to go. If you use a minimum amount of solvent and wash with sodium carb before you freeze you should get some nice xtals. Maybe not glass shard but very white and I usually start getting yellow on the 3rd and 4th pulls. Oh, if you use lye make sure you wear chem resistant gloves, safety glasses and keep a bottle of vinegar on hand for spills.
