Spontaneous Mudra Channeling or something like that.

The title of this thread represent the experiences I've had while tripping my face off; I've done 4 3.5 g psilocybin "ceremonies" led by an experienced guide over the last 3 years. I have also used a DMT pen a handful of times in the last 2 years. Minus my first ceremony but starting with my second and then all after that, my body has engaged in movements that do not feel like my own, but rather that I am like a puppet being moved. I say mudras only because that is the closest thing I can think of to describe them. The movements give me an ultimate sense of bliss and power like I am toying with the incredible visions I am also receiving, weaving a rug, or playing some sort of instrument. And also for lack of any other way to explain it, I feel like a deity. When I come to, and when the experience vanishes, I'm just me again, left to grapple with the intense contrast of having such an experience to my regular life of being a parttime worker and full time middle age mom. Honestly, I am humbled beyond anything, and find it a bit embarrassing to share with people, that yeah, if such things are possible, I might be channeling a deity.

If you have something relevant to share, or helpful, please do. And I don't have the time to read novels so I prefer to the point! Thanks.

Welcome to the Nexus!

This is all just my opinion but that effect it very much normal and a good sign that things are starting to turn on in the right hemisphere. This is the side of the brain where psychedelic effects are primarily taking place according to some research, but it is generally far more dormant than the dominant left hemisphere, so it can feel like another person is in control of your body (just look at the split brain research and all the "I became the entity" type experience reports out there).

I've had a bunch of very strange experiences with this, but it always feels amazing and leads to deeper states, if you can relax into the trance and let it do its thing. You can even learn to access it more readily in a kind of fake it till you make it sort of way. Good music and large amethyst crystals (phononic resonators) help a lot IMO but that's a bit more flaky of an idea than most people are willing to try.

Wade Richardson describes this sort of spontaneous movement stuff in depth his book "the psychedelic mindmeld". There's a bunch of interviews on youtube about it

Welcome, I have not experienced that personally. Also I have never done a guided retreat could you describe your experience there? here or in another thread, thanks.

Hello and welcome!

This discussion reminds me of a tale I've told here before where, during a session on shrooms and LSD - it was Albert Hofmann's first posthumous birthday - I found myself dancing a giant teacup into existence. It was starting to become a solid-looking manifestation in the room before my friends interrupted me. Now, the weird thing actually was when I spoke to my mother on the phone the following weekend - she started off by telling me, completely unprompted, that there had been a giant teacup at their church the previous day as part of a fair trade exhibition! I was somewhat blown away by that as you can probably imagine. Maybe I'll change my policy of not discussing psychedelic use with my parents, while I still have the chance.

Thank you for the welcome and resource points. I will look these things up, as it'd be nice and grounding for me to know others experience this thing too, and even speak in depth about 'spontaneous movement'. Don't get me wrong, these have been fantastic experiences, but certainly hard to integrate. My brain wants to dismiss them as anomalies therefore irrelevant to everyday life. Music has always been my guide, and I'm open minded enough to appreciate having beautiful rocks around me for sure, I can dig it.

You went to a ceremony four times for an eighth of an ounce of mushrooms to dose each time? Yes, please tell more about this, I'm curious.

I just got my butt whooped by a bad body load on 3.5g of cubensis (supposedly PE but will have a better feel on the next trip, which will be another low dose of 2g and then a month later I am going to jump back to 5g-7g territory...but anyway I have had spontaneous movements on a much too strong of an LSD dose after a long break...but that started at the heart or spine and would coil up my spine and had me thinking of vasoconstriction or even chakras.
