Static electric after effects?

This is so damned strange. I am not embellishing, I am being 100 percent honest here... okay. SO, this has happened three times now. I do not understand it, and I cannot explain it, annnnndddd it's shredding my intellect to ribbons of confusion.

My last three DMT trips have ended this way. I come down and out of nowhere I feel this itchy sensation, but its not an itch... I then look at my arm, or legs, and all of the hairs are standing on end, charged with static electricity. It's the same feeling as when your under a blanket and its charged. It pulls the hairs up and they move with the current creating a tingly, itch like sensation. I am not tripping at this point, and it's not a hallucination.

What the hell could cause this? It feels like there is a presence in my room after it's all over. I even had my roomate look and he saw the same exact thing on me, but not him. SOOOOO.. has anyone else had this happen? And why would this be happening?

I am completely dumbfounded, confused, and I want some answers!

Any relation would seriously aid my bewildered mind...
IS there a rational explanation for this?

To answer your question. Yes, (I think) there is a perfectly plausible explanation for this. But I personally don't have one ready and more research needs to be done. And personally I haven't experienced this sensation very often.

You could try working with crystals. One of those black crystals tend to absorb static electricity. See if you can lessen it by holding one, this might be interesting.

I'd recommend trying to journey in a different room or even outside or something like that and see if you get the same effect to rule out whether or not your hairs are reacting to something in the physical environment.

If that's not the case that you're reacting to something physical, then what you are experiencing is interesting. DMT seems to have the ability to move parts of the body from beyond your voluntary control. This typically occurs with the extremities which are typically moved voluntarily, however your body hairs cannot be moved voluntarily, if only indirectly. It's possible that instead of seizing control of the muscles in your extremities, that it is for some reason targeting the muscles that are in control of raising your body hairs. I've often perceived the energy experienced on DMT to be magnetic-like, but I've never thought it to be truly electromagnetic. I would be more inclined to believe that the energy is interacting with your involuntary muscles in the skin to raise your hair involuntarily as opposed to the manner in which static electricity raises the hair on your skin. Perhaps you can get some kind of EM reader to try and detect for a spike in electromagnetism when you smoke DMT.

You truly think so? the negative entity thing? The creepy thing about what you said is this: I had meditated before each of these sessions for my journey to show me the bad side of a certain obssession I am trying to kick. Each of these journeys showed me exactly what I was asking for, and it worked tremendously, but after each one, I had the static charge.

I have been using DMT and meditation to conquer my addiction to opioids, which is something I once had licked, but I had a small relapse, and Im at the tail end of tapering off of suboxone. I meditated on the ugly side of opiate addiction and asked DMT to show me what I couldnt show myself, and I was truly blessed with some horrific visions that have enabled this kick to be a whole lot easier than before the DMT.

But after each one of these I was left with the static charge. I was also sent out on the last one with a message to not return to hyperspace until I am free of this addiction, which I am happily going to oblige. I really didnt want to get into detail, but that negative entity thing really really made this even more chilling than before.

This stuff is honestly a miracle. I have never had more of a repulsion to that addiction than I do now, and I will be free of that BS by the weekend.

Any other suggestions of what this might be?

I really didnt want to get this honest, but whatever, this place is beautiful, and I feel it's also the last place that I would be judged for my disease.

yes this is it , the addiction is itself the entity feeding on you

there are entities for anger, guilt and even happiness , they feed on these emotions and mental states

this is obviously only one way to look at it , perhaps a little primitive way , nonetheless shamans and mystics have used this to great advantage

the addiction is only a physical aspect of a dark astral entity , yet it is this physical aspect you need to conquer to be free

don't let any other entity like shame or guilt also hold you back ,

this is not new , these entities (emotional/mental states ) have forever existed and they feed , they are really never in this dimension directly , they exist only on astral planes ,

the horrific vision and the feeling you had is the astral aspect of your addiction , which DMT helped you understand with great clarity

this is only one way to look at all this ,

and in no way feel any shame or guilt about all this , this will only weaken you further and give more power to the addiction

I am going to overcome my obstacle, especially now that it has shown me what i could not see..... But the static is such a wierd thing. Made it feel like i wasnt alone, is this possible?

I thought you were making a joke about negative charge (moving electrons? Ha ha ha?).

I'd say try it some other place and see if it still happens. Has the weather been the same every time you've done this (dry, perhaps?).

I can't think of any possible way DMT could be responsible for this.

i'm not sure about static but i got the feeling of being constantly electrocuted for small periods of time while on a journey before. don't wanna hijack your thread but if anyone has any information regarding this feel free to post it too :thumb_up:

i know it sounds crazy, but i am not one bit joking, or trying to provoke supernatural falsities about this... Three times now, after the trips, the hairs on my arms and legs were charged with static electricity. I live in Los Angeles, the weather is always the same here so thats not a factor. The apartment I live in has never had this occur before the DMT and hasn't since it has happened on DMT. I am completely finished with my journey when it has happened, the odd thing is it was only after the trips I described. I don't understand it, it is completely confusing. I am a person of very sound mind. I also do not scare easily. I should say also that Im not necessarily scared, it's just really weird. I am a skeptic to the Nth degree until something is proven, and if someone else posted this besides me, I would probably doubt it too, but it happened. Three times. There must be some logical reason, I just cannot for the life of me figure it out, and it's making my brain hurt.

Funny you mention this. I spoke to someone a while ago who did ayahuasca in bed and said she went static to the point there were sparks between her skin and the blanket. I asked her if such things occur to others. She said yes, more people experience going static.

I myself have not gone static before. What I did feel several times was my body being magnetized. I became a giant magnet lol. I figured this is how electro magnetism feels like and this force must be the basis of life. My energetic body got pulled outwards by an opposite attracting force, like two poles colliding. I become attached to something. Thats when I entered hyperspace (on pharma).

So, what Tesla said, electricity: the biggest mystery in life..

If the force of electricity is fundamental to life (consciousness), and DMT causes a transformation of consciousness (to other dimensions): can a change in the bodies electro magnetic field that is needed to accompany this cause static electricity? I don't see why not..

wow. this is such a great feeling now. I cannot believe how much my life has changed in such a short period of time. I feel as if I have had an evolutionary kick to the soul. I have evolved in a way that's unexplainable... and it rules.

I am going to beat my addiction ,that is for sure. I have done it before and will again. I am so damned thankful that I know have a tool more powerful than anything that has been available to me before.

there are no support groups, or shrinks, or doctors, or prescriptions that can match up in any possilbe way to the power of DMT.

I'm glad you were able to escape, and hope you continue to be free of opiates. I too found that DMT let me see opiates as they truely are, a filthy infantile security blanket that makes our lives worse, fooling us to thinking the opposite. We just then wrap that horrible blanket tigter to ourselves, when we need to throw it away.

Now, I don't have the poison thoughts or temptations to relapse. I'm done with opiates forever and totally fine with that.

Subsequently more and more would happen, until I couldn't roll over without a huge light show of those things. I was afraid at one point and kind of willed them away. I haven't seen any since. I miss them actually.

It's so nice to have someone else speak the truth and let me know that not only is there hope, but freedom in this magic we have all found. Thank you for having the honesty and courage to speak openly about your past because even though I know there are epidemic amounts of others out there like myself, it is a very welcome gift when others step out of the shadows and show me that not only am I not alone, but that I am also in the company of true champions who have won the battle vs. said security blanket of bullshit. Who wants to sleep wearing a bullshit blanket? Welcome to the most putrid, pungent nightmares possible. No fucking thanks. I'm retiring my shit sheet and buying a new badass down comforter with the spoils of my victory.
