I'll set the scene with a bit of preamble.
I'm almost 100% sure that since starting taking Cannabis for Neuropathic pain some 3-4 years ago that I have been slowly dropping weight, around the same timeframe I've had back issues that also effect my lower guts and I found that stopping drinking beer stops exacerbating the back-induced gut issues, so overall over the last 3-4 years I've drunk very little alcohol, mostly just a few beers once a month. In the same timeframe I have also been much more consistent in eating breakfast and I have not changed the amount that I eat though you could say with the occasional bit of Munchies I will have increased my calorie intake in the evenings.
I always use a balanced THC/CBD bud, I've tried THCV bud and it still gives me the same munchies even though its billed as 'Diet Weed'.
I think this is quite hard to pick apart, but I am still losing weight in a very steady way and it shows no sign of stopping. This could also be the fact that I've tipped over into my early 50's and the body's natural changes, maybe lower testosterone etc? Maybe I should get a Testosterone test, if its low and needs a boost it may help other aches and pains.
I've been the same waist size since leaving school until recently when I'm definitely going to have to buy a smaller size for my workwear even if my regular Jeans still fit fine.
So, is Cannabis regulating my Blood sugar better? Is cannabis lowering my Cholesterol? I'm inclined to think these things are true.
I'm currently about 6kg lighter than my preferred weight which had been stable within +/-1kg for years and years.
I think there needs to be some serious studies to answer these questions, there's not a lot out there from what I can see.
