Final filter pass, I didn’t bother filtering the sludge, I did 2 washes of it and settled in the fridge.

Now the hard part, evaporating this lot! Though maybe I should keep a couple of shots worth before I do.

*It seems to re-cloud somewhat after filtering, makes me wonder if what I've filtered off is good stuff!

**Its clear again a bit later, no sedimentation.

Is there any telling how strong my 50g MHRB extraction is going to be? I'm going to try Freeze distillation to concentrate, assuming my freezer can get cold enough, then keep a liquid portion but also fully evap a portion to see if the dry stuff will dissolve in PG.
Lets say I can concentrate it to 200ml first.

I'm thinking Pharmahuasca, would 100mg Harmalas and 50mg (or equivalent in this Vodka TEK) sound alright for a starting place having never done the totally oral ROA?

Based on my experience, you can assume an equivalent strength to a brew. So, don't think about milligrams of DMT, but grams of MHRB.

I'd recommend between 3 and 5g. In your example, that would be between 12 and 20ml.

As for harmalas, you need much more than 100mg for a solid experience, unless you're planning to dose very high your MHRB, something that would be unreliable. 200mg is a good place to start, and in the future you can go lower or higher depending on your personal sensitivity.

Bear in mind that unlike with changa or vaporhuasca, you need to fully inhibit gut MAO.
 
I might have to try and 200mg Harmalas alone first to check that I handle it OK, I know I was OK on 100mg until the first few vape hits on DMT then I had to move VERY slowly to avoid feeling a bit pukey.
 
Yes, it's a good idea to try it first on its own. You likely will handle it much better if you lie down and not move. Over time one learns to move a bit more without very intense nausea, kind of like getting "your sea legs" I suppose, but I still prefer to not move at all, and often it's my only option. It has the benefit of making the experience much more immersive and intense IME.

Reduced my 900ml to 200ml over a couple of 70c heating sessions to slowly evaporate.

I did try freeze distilling it but it only turned slightly to slush after removing from the freezer, no visible prices of ice that I could have sensibly removed.

Got to decide how to portion this up, maybe ice-cubes. And whether to complete this experiment and fully evaporate a little to test how dissolvable it is in PG, it might literally just be a 1ml or less test sample that never gets vaped.

Thought I better add a label, 11ml portions which should work out at the equivalent of 2.8g MHRB per ice cube.
And I’ve got approx 20ml left that I’ll fully evaporate.

Removing the liquid from the ice with the help of a Pasteur pipette would be a tad more practical, although there's always an issue of the ice melting once it's taken out of the freezer. Ideally, instead one might use a tube (perhaps something like a salt shaker) with a filter/strainer insert of some kind that would allow inversion of the vessel of frozen slurry so the alcoholic DMT solution could simply drain off into a separate receptacle while still in the freezer. Otherwise one might get along with using an ice/salt bath to help keep the temperature down while pipetting, as well as pre-chilling the pipette in the freezer.

One further problem is that manipulating the freezing cold materials in the open air leads to ice formation from atmospheric moisture. This is essentially what inspired me to think about the filter tube idea. I think a stainless steel mesh insert in the lid of a salt shaker might do the trick. Mesh discs are sold as filter inserts for kitchen taps, so it would be a matter of finding a salt shaker with an appropriately-sized lid to give this a try with.

The reason for outlining this as a goal is in order to afford a stronger tincture with - presumably - better keeping properties than one concentrated via evaporation of the alcohol, as occurs with heating. While it would be easy enough to sort this out using the right bits of lab glassware, I'm also aiming to keep this focussed on OTC 'ghetto' methods in keeping with the DIY accessibility of the ethanol and lime, should push really come to shove.

What I do is to evaporate it almost completely and then add vodka back. It's not too elegant and requires some time but it's pretty ghetto and easy :P
 
What happened with me @Transform was a bit like the reverse of one of those heat packs where you click the metal disk and it sets and gives off heat.

It took a little swaying and stirring of the freezer dishes once out of the freezer for ice to start to form, up until agitation the liquid was clear and flowing.

You may have witnessed supercooling - the swirling provides nucleation centres which set off ice formation. However, this releases heat in the form of lattice energy/latent heat of freezing, so ice formation would be less complete until the liquid gets returned into the freezer and chilled for a further while.
