As a 5-HT2A antagonist it should work. Trazodone being a (weak) serotonin reuptake inhibitor, it should be used carefully when MAOIs are involved (ayahuasca). I think using an immediate release form would be a better choice but it still might take a few time before being effective. On wikipedia there is an interesting list of molecules (including Trazodone) that could be used as trip killer.

Breathwork and meditation is useful but if your boarding psychosis and sleep deprivation, you may need more help.
I'm not condoning it but I use Seroquel in these instances, sleep it off....

Question shotgun blast! Do you need to adjust the dosage of a trip killer based on the dosage of the psychedelic you take? Is the dosage different based on which psychedelic you're trying to abort? In the antidepressent class of trip killers, is there a substance which acts best/better? something like mirtazapine comes to mind because of its relatively fast onset, lack of nausea and anti anxiety properties, but thats really just an uneducated guess. Has anyone every experienced mirtazapine as a trip killer, can anyone speak to an effective dose?
