I've heard conflicting reports about the quality of the pre-powdered bark from a certain supplier in another galaxy.
My friend who knows a scientist ordered from this place and was a little worried. He also did some searches in the forums and found out that the pre-powdered bark requires 1.5-2 times as much water/lye.
So when he got his bark he prepared his lye solutions as if he had powdered it himself.
When he added the bark and gave it a shake there was quite a brown foam on the top.
He waited an hour to check on it, the foam was still there, as well as a bog effect of powdered bark floating on top. He decided the bark needed some time to digest and soak. He waited several hours and the bark went into a more recognizable black solution without the distinct bog on top. There was still a bit of foam. He then added his naptha for the first pull. During the mild agitations the foam subsided for the most part. The foam seemed to push a bit into the naptha layer, so he waited for several hours after the agitations to siphon the naptha. He was worried about the bunk bark reports, so after his first pull he skipped the wash and threw his naptha right into the freezer. In just 2 hours the jar resembled a dangerous blizzard. GOOD TO GO! He's redissolving the blizzard so he can wash it with the rest and try making some uber crystals.
