Hi folks.
I'm trying vacuum distillation for the first time, searching for a pump to do this....
But the thing that occurs to me is that say i was distilling ethanol... Ethanol is flammable, if the pump sucks in any ethanol is there a risk of ignition?
Also i'm scratching my head on how to maintain the correct pressure... how do I include and connect a mercury pressure gague to the system to provide measurement of the pressures involved?
