Where to get Lye?

I've found pure Sodium Hydroxide in liquid form at Lowe's called Roebic Drain cleaner. I'm not sure if the liquid kind will work though.
If you go to the plumbing area, it will be in an aisle just outsied of all the plumbing aisles. They kind of hide it. Make sure it's the bottle that isn't in a plastic bag.
Otherwise there are numerous sources online for the stuff.

Ok I did some searching and it looks like the liquid one is no good. But I read that there's a crystal version at Lowe's so keep looking, I'll have to make another trip back!

If you live in the states, you can go to Lowe's and get item #146450 from plumbing.
Be aware though that some stores will ask you for ID and take down your address just in case you're making meth.
